I had high hopes for this movie and it sure delivered. The Shining is a horror classic and no way was this movie going to be better, but it ended up being a worthy follow up. Mike Flanagan has proven himself yet again as a modern day horror movie master.

Better than the last 3 but no way does it come remotely close to being in the same league as the first 2. I am a big fan of movie franchises and I always look forward to the next installment but sadly this particular franchise has run out of steam. Along with some other franchise this is a relic of the 80s and 90s.
