A Worthy Successor To The Original

The first Halloween movie from the late 1970's was unique in the horror genre. Subsequent sequels were hit and miss.
This new movie is rather like a part 2 or 3 of the original and I think it works very well. In fact I plan to now buy a copy of the first in the series.
If you only own the first one and this new movie I think that's all one really needs. The rest are superfluous.

I was actually surprised that a film like this would be made today (in Hollywood) and then released to the public.
Remember that blaspheming God is a necessity in today's declining American culture while a film like this one does just the opposite.
This film is both triggering and politically (non) correct.

I honestly didn't know what to expect from this movie. Wasn't 'mainstream' but had good actors everywhere.
A few twists and turns and a good ending made it well worth the time to watch. It'll end up being one of those movies that you'll buy when it's 10-12 bucks and realize it would have been good even when it first came out.
