This tiny external USB drive is a very good way to add additional storage to a laptop without having to clone and install a drive into the laptop. It protrudes only a small amount from the side of the laptop, allowing it to remained plugged in while inserted into a sleeve or carrying bag. This is a very good budget bag for a 14 inch laptop. I got it for an excellent price on a special sale. It is houses my 14 inch laptop. It has a large pocket on the front and also on the back. Each pocket is sealed shut with Velcro. It has a smaller pocket on the front that has a sturdy zipper. The main compartment is sealed with two sturdy zippers. The case has two cloth handles. The padding is sufficient for light travel. This is a good budget laptop bag, and I am happy with its purchase.

I was able to get this at an excellent price as open box in excellent condition. It comes with an AC power cord that is a hair over 6 feet long, and a USB-C cable that is 19 inches long. The USB-C cable connects the laptop to the dock, and provides power to the laptop as well as high speed data in both directions. The dock has a good variety of ports. I was particularly happy for the ethernet port, as I do not have that port on my laptop. The dock is a little chunky, but still small enough to be easily packed for transport. I am quite happy with this purchase.

Thought I was buying an exact copy of the laptop I had when I ordered it online. Took it out of the box and it was NOT the same. My fault for trusting HP. The old HP Pavillion had a backlit keyboard and a good touchpad, which the replacement doesnt. Also, it seems to jump randomly to different cells when I am working in a spreadsheet. On the plus side, more storage and lower price point.
I recommend you test drive HP Pavillions rather than buy them online, because you dont know what you are going to get online

Good points! After doing some online research I learned that large chains like Best Buy often have a variant of a device that is slightly different to what is described on the manufacturer's website. Sometimes it might have some additional feature, and sometimes it will be missing some feature. You will sometimes find that the product id listed on the seller's website does not appear on the manufacturer's website - which is an indicator of a special variant for that seller.

It didn’t say that the RAM was soldered in the laptop. I couldn’t use a recently bought ram into it. The sellers said that I can upgrade it but maybe they didn’t know that the ram was soldered. Overall its good just disappointed by the non upgradable RAM

You made a good point. I had to do some searching to learn that the RAM was not upgradeable. However, I also learned that HP installed the RAM in an optimal way, by installing two identical 4GB chips that run in parallel. This is far better than installing one 8GB chip.

I have had a similar experience but used a paper clip that I pushed into the tiny hole next to the eject button. It worked perfectly afterward. I think this method has a far smaller chance of physically damaging the drive.

The laptop is a good one and does just about anything basic you will need it for.
If you're buying for just standard use like browsing, streaming, or other typical tasks, this will be more than enough to help support that.
The laptop itself is also pretty light, and good for travel.
While I'm not a fan of touchscreens, it's a nice additional option to have for those who prefer to utilize that feature.
One thing is that the storage itself is very low, so you wouldn't want to get this laptop for any major multimedia use. Storing music and photos will probably be fine, to a point, but videos and larger HD images will probably fill up the storage on this quite fast.
Overall, decent unit, nothing fancy, but seems reliable overall.

So far seems like a good computer. I bought as Christmas present for my Mom, so time will tell. I set it up for her and only thing I’m struggling a little with is the Microsoft 11S version. I’m not clear if I still need separate virus protection or not, and in S mode I can’t download the free security suite offered by her internet provider because it’s not a Microsoft application. I’m hoping this will be good enough for her to check emails and do banking.

This was a great deal when I bought it. Bought it for my mother who is elderly and enjoys watching videos on her phone. She very much enjoys the big 15 inch screen compared to her phone. Also, this laptop comes with a touchscreen which makes it very easy to use even for someone who never uses a computer. It is quick enough and has enough memory for her to store all her photos. Its not the lightest laptop, but that okay. Overall I would recommend this laptop for someone looking for everyday use like internet browsing, video streaming, etc.

I bought this laptop a bit impulsively since I needed a new one for school with a camera and good enough battery. It definitely does the job, the only drawbacks being 720p camera, Windows 11 off the bat, no privacy shutter and bad speaker quality. For the speaker/sound- don't get me wrong it's not the worst, but definitely not the best, as the audio seems to come from the bottom of the laptop which makes the sounds become muffled in almost any position. Apart from these small quality of life issues it handles fine, seems sturdy, good battery, and has decent space. Additionally, I play videogames on this such as, Rainbow Six Siege, PayDay 2, Sims, etc. which run fairly fine besides the fan getting hot of course. I give it a 8/10 since it serves as a substitute for an actual desktop and don't think I'll be getting rid of it anytime soon.

The speakers for this laptop are bottom firing. These kind of speakers work best when the laptop sits on a hard surface, so the sound waves can bounce off that surface better and yield better and louder sound.

I bought this but one problem. There is no user manual or web site to show how to use? Lots of questions to,where all the functions are. How do I get a users manual about operation? Thank you!

Does it have extra ssd slot for upgrade?
There is only one ssd slot for storage. To upgrade you have to remove the ssd installed, and put in the new one. You should also look into cloning options and backup options before proceeding with the upgrade.

Are the specs correct when it says 14.5 width, and height is 0.78, but the screen is 15.6" trying to get a bag for my daughter and need to know If it will fit.

This laptop has a touchscreen, but it is not a 2 in 1 machine. So it can not be folded 360 deg to act like a tablet.

Will this be able to handle Lightroom or Photoshop editing???
This laptop meets the minimum hardware requirements to handle the program Lightroom. I am afraid the demands of the program Photoshop will be too much for it. For that you would need a computer with at least a Core i5 processor, and 16GB of RAM.
