Batman Ninja is one of the most raucous movies of the year and the most entertained I have been in a while. Overall, this is a film you should see for its outstanding visuals. Okazaki's character designs are simply astonishing, full of great moments of fun and action that will keep you hooked throughout the entirety of the film.

It's a sassy comedy with a lot of one-liners, some of which apparently came from improvisation between Ferrell and Fey, both in good vocal form. The quality of animation is outstanding, as you would expect.
A full-bodied, busy-as-heck, funny-as-heck comedy adventure from Dreamworks that merrily riffs -- in its own fractured way -- on the Superman legend.

Kids should be game for the ride, and the colourful characters offer humour and poignancy. There's nothing new here, just old stuff in a new-ish package. This movie's enjoyable, but never as daring or bizarre as it could have been.

Kung Fu Panda 3 boasts the requisite visual splendor, but like its rotund protagonist, this sequel's narrative is also surprisingly nimble, adding up to animated fun for the whole family. There is plenty in Kung Fu Panda 3 that echoes the first film and the sequel, but it's not tired recycling. Instead, the movie deftly reinforces and extends what has gone before

It's a far superior film than its live action counterpart that's uncompromisingly violent and dark. The tone is wholly fitting for a movie focusing on remorseless killers. the most fun I've probably ever had watching a DC animated film, and a big part of that is the fact that it doesn't seem beholden to existing continuity, sequel/franchise demands, or actor vanity

I'm writing this not so much as a critic but as an ordinary moviegoer, experiencing Proustian transport via an old-fashioned scary movie executed by a team of filmmakers and actors at the top of their game.
A remarkable exercise that is infinitely more effective when it focuses on reaching the audience's heart, instead of their nerves

If the sight of Denzel Washington, guns blazing and saddled up for his first western, doesn't get your pulse racing, read elsewhere t's certainly fun, and a spectacle to behold in IMAX, but if you're going to remake the 1960 classic, which starred Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen, you need to make a cinematic cavalry charge into the territory of modern sensibilities.

The cartoon action will delight young children, while older ones, who usually reject animation as "kid stuff," will enjoy the rock songs and hip characters, especially the brash Tito. Oliver & Company is Dickens with a twist, and Disney with a treat.

Leterrier’s new film, "Now You See Me," is in some ways a return to his roots. Like his two "Transporter" movies, it’s light on seriousness and heavy on style — a razzle-dazzle fantasy about a team of bank-robbing illusionists. It’s slick, deliberately silly, and sprinkled with visual confetti — Steadicam spins, lens flares, CGI trick shots.. Just as unusually — at least for an effects-heavy production — it's shot on celluloid with anamorphic lenses. This gives the movie a retro visual texture and a more classical sense of widescreen space; the trade-off is that the digital effects look less convincing than they would in a digitally-shot movie. However, in a film where nothing is supposed to be credible, mediocre CGI seems appropriate. It’s not meant to seem realistic, so why should it look real?

"Sleepers" is anything but easy viewing. The film focuses extensively on the sexual and physical abuse of the four boys. Compelling drama with some very strong performances by the all-star cast and the younger actors
