A Definite Blast From the Past!

I couldn’t wait for this movie to be released. I saw it in an IMAX theater twice and I liked it even better the second time. I was sad that this would be the last Indiana Jones movie. I really enjoyed it and I kept trying to find out when it was coming out on blu ray. I preordered it as soon as I could. The blu ray is a mixed bag for me. For some reason Disney has started cutting the volume on blu ray. I have to turn the volume way up to get a reasonable high def sound. I don’t have Atmos. The video is spot on and once you adjust the volume I think you will be very satisfied with the home theater experience.

I found this movie to be fascinating. The acting was excellent and the storyline was very interesting. Sometimes it moves slowly, but I thought it developed the characters very well and the special effects were breathtaking at times. The audio quality is absolutely amazing. It will definitely give you home theater AVR and speakers a run for their money. I highly recommend this movie.

I missed the beginning of this movie at the movie theater, but I didn't worry about that because I knew I was going to buy it anyway. To be honest, I found the movie hard to follow at first, but as time went on I was able to connect the dots. I gave it a 5, but I felt that the special effects took precedent over the storyline; however, I found the movie to be very entertaining and at times downright nerve-wracking. When the blu ray arrived I watched it several times and the more I watched it the more I liked it. The audio and video are excellent. I don't have 4k or Dolby Atmos, but the Dolby True HD is awesome. I highly recommend this movie.

What an Incredible Computer This Is!

I hesitated to post a review because I am just an average user and purchasing a computer that far exceeds my abilities would be considered a foolish thing to do when a MacBook Air would probably meet my every need. However, since this will be the last computer I ever purchase I decided to go for the gold. I wanted a laptop with a big screen that had plenty of ram and drive capacity and I am so glad that I bought this computer because it is so easy to use and faster than greased lightning. Because it far exceeds my capabilities, I have decided to expand my skills and do as much as I can with to increase my capabilities. Because my last laptop was a 13 inch MacBook Pro, it took awhile to adjust to how big my new one is and I sometimes find it difficult to get used to a keyboard that is quite a distance from the front of the computer. I didn't like that at first, but now I like that I can rest my hands on the great expanse of metal that is in front of the keyboard. If you can afford this computer, I would suggest you buy it regardless of your capabilities because it is a joy to use. Also, the speaker system is incredible. I sometimes watch CBS tv shows on my computer when I miss them at their regular time and the audio and video are incredible. To those of you who are exceptionally skilled I apologize for posting such a simplistic, useless review, but I thought there might be someone out there who aren't computer experts that my find my review helpful. On the other hand, I figured if Best Buy finds this review useless they won't post it.

This movie is entertaining in so many ways that I can't begin to name them all. I loved the storyline, soundtrack and especially the actors and actresses who made this film a classic. The high def audio and video are superb and I was amazed at the quality of this disc in blu ray. I don't have 4k capability, but someday I will so that is why I bought both discs. This is definitely an improvement over the dvd.

Holmes and Watson from the Beginning

I saw this movie at the theater and really liked it. I bought it on dvd and when blu ray came along I hoped one day that this movie would be released in that format. Years passed and I gave up, and then along it came. The video is excellent and the audio is as well, but you really have to crank up the volume. I thought the two young men who played Holmes and Watson were excellent and I always hoped they would make more movies, but it didn't happen. There is a disclaimer at the beginning that says it has no link to Arthur Conan Doyle. Instead it is simply an attempt to explain how they met and how their experiences together helped shape their personalities and quirks they exhibited in Doyle's books. I found it quite entertaining and really enjoyed the high def audio and video.

For the price this player is a good deal, but it is so little and the remote is extremely small. I have a 9 year old Sony blu ray player that I like much better; however, those days are over. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if this one holds up well.

Great Reimagining of a Classic

I went to see this expecting another letdown, but boy was I surprised! Excellent story and fantastic special affects that were used to enhance the story line rather than replace it. If this had been the third movie, the franchise would have moved in a new direction, but I think it is too late. The box office total was very disappointing. My only complaint is the horrible language which was most of the time unneeded.

Different but good way to end it.

When I saw this movie at the theater, I was somewhat disappointed because it was not what I was expected, but after viewing it several times at home, I have changed my mind. After all Carrie Fisher's death changed everything because it was supposed to be her movie it would be revealed just what a powerful Jedi she was. That was the way I heard it anyway.
I don't have 4K so I can only say that I was very pleased with the video and after increasing the volume and bass, I was very pleased with the audio. I wish Disney still made the discs like they used to because they sounded just like the movie, but for some reason they have reduced the audio output. I don't understand that, but I found after following the advice of someone on the internet of how to fix the audio, I can live with it.
I like physical media. I don't want to only be able to get the movies online in digital media. This disc provides the theater experience and my new SVS-PB 3000 subwoofer rocks! If you liked this movie, you won't be disappointed with the blu ray!
