This TV has features normally found on larger models. The flat picture tube cuts down on unwanted glare, the comb filter cleans up the picture and the component video input is great for DVD.

TV worked great, excellent picture and sound for its time, although it’s been about 15 years since I upgraded to my first HD LCD, I still recall this TV being great!

I exchanged the Samsung TU8000 for the Sony Bravia X750H, this tv is noticeably better and brighter, especially with HDR after making sure the settings were expertly calibrated. My current 4K source is a PS5, which I’ve watched a handful of 4K movies on Blu-Ray such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Interstellar, the Dark Knight, and Tenet. Not having Apple TV or AirPlay support is a bummer, but not a dealbreaker. And the only feature Samsung has vs. Sony is the ability to detect a video game or movie so it’ll automatically switch between game and cinema mode.

What more can I say? It's loaded with cool Bonus Features, and it's mostly everything you'd need in any normal set. It sucks that there's no Fly Me To The Moon or the Platinum ADV Dub, but that's just how it is I suppose! I still very much recommend it, because it's Neon Genesis Evangelion. Do I have to say anything more?
