Not for everyone, but...

This was an upgrade from a Surface Book version 1. I used to buy Macbook Pro's, but I got fed up with the combination of crazy price, out of date hardware and bad design (butterfly keyboard etc).
The first surface book wasn't bad. There are some things about Windows 10 that I dislike, but it was fine.
The new Surface Book seems to have a lot more power. The graphics are faster and I no longer have to rely on an SD card for extra storage. The design hasn't changed much, but it's still pretty nice.
My only complaint is that it does not come with a pen. At this price, it really should be included.

I've been buying Samsung for years -- every since I gave up on Sony Trinitron because it was too expensive for a screen larger than 21" (yeah, I'm that old!).
My last TV was a Samsung 55" 1080 HD LCD flat panel. It's about 8 years old.
First things first, let's be honest. You're not going to see an amazing leap between 1080 HD and 4K for most content. I've seen 8K TVs in person, and you will see a difference between HD and 8k. HD and UHD, not so much.
However, this TV is still a huge improvement over my last TV. The picture is brighter, contrast is better, and the screen is much less reflective. My living room gets quite a bit of light. The old TV was very hard to see in the early afternoon (never a problem before the COVID-19 lockdown). This one is much better.
The sound is dramatically better too. Much better bass and generally clearer.
The built in apps are reliable and I've had no issues with networking (a real problem with my old TV). I used to use an Amazon Fire TV, but it has pretty much been replaced.
Last, but not least, the setup and universal remote were easy to set up. Everything I had plugged in was auto-detected and worked first time. There are a couple of minor settings on the cable box that I can't access, but everything I use regularly just works. That's a huge win in terms of missing remotes, cable nests and other minor annoyances.
At 65", it's noticeably bigger than my old TV, and the thinner bezels are nice. I ended up mounting it to the wall rather than using the stand. We have very uneven floors and a fat cat, so I was a little concerned about it tipping over (the TV, not the cat).
All in all, it's a nice improvement.

I usually detest products where you have no choice but to install an app before you can set it up. The apps are usually clunky, poorly designed and buggy. And full of ads.
However, that is not the case with the TP-Link Deco 9+. It made setup an absolute breeze,
I'm tech savvy, but setting up a new wi-fi router is not something I look forward to. Our home isn't that large, but it's an awkward shape and I always end up having to use some kind of repeater.
I've looked at mesh networking a few times, but it has always been far too expensive. I've never had a router (of ANY brand) that lasted more than 3-4 years, so I'm not willing to pay $500+ for a product.
Best Buy had these on sale, so I figured I would try them out. The entire network was up and running within 15 minutes. I think that's a personal record. Performance has been excellent and I get good signal everywhere.
My only gripes are very minor.
1. There is no way to select the channels used by the 2.4GHz or 5GHz radio. The automatic selection is definitely not the best one -- I imagine my neighbors probably hate the strong signal this puts out. I gather from the TP-Link forums that this feature is in development.
2. The router is designed to sit flat on a shelf or table top. I would be super helpful to have wall mounting holes (like a smoke detector).
Bottom line: great price, fast networking and very easy to set up.

Apple Pencil with GoodNotes is a win for me. However, the Pencil seems very overpriced. I didn't appreciate having to spend this much for pen input when the base iPad is already very pricey.
I also find the pencil to be entirely too smooth. Unlike a real pencil, it's actually a little hard to hold on to.
Those gripes aside, it's working well.

Is this a roku tv?
No, it's not a Roku. However, it does run apps for all the major streaming services (like a Roku). Under the hood it runs "Tizen", which is Samsung's proprietary thing. However, the TV does come with a bunch of apps. I'm currently using YouTube, Disney+, HBO Max, Tubi and Amazon Prime. I've had no issues whatsoever so far.
P.s. Samsung originally launched Tizen as an alternative to Android. I mention this because it means they've invested a lot in it and it's not likely to go away any time soon. Unless you are looking for Roku specific channels/apps, it should do everything you need.
