While this might be a fine vacuum for someone who is seeking a corded vac, I searched Best Buy’s website specifically for “cordless vacuums” and was (mis-) directed to this. It arrived promptly and in perfect condition but was not what I was looking to give my mother as a gift. Best Buy accepted the return cheerfully and with no problem.

I dont have a dishwasher so I cant comment on that but parts are super easy to take apart and clean.
