BROKEN WITHIN 5 MONTHS, LG REPAIR TAKES A MONTH

The monitor itself is slightly above average, but the repair process and customer service are awful.
I bought the 5K2K LG monitor (45GX950A-B) about 5 months ago, and it started flickering out of nowhere with a horizontal line that changes colors and distorted lines that go across the entire monitor. I no longer had the original box since it’s massive and I live in an apartment.
I used LG’s chat support, which took over 90 minutes due to slow response and language barrier. They told me I had to find my own box to ship it. I asked them to send one to properly protect a $2,000 monitor, but they said they don’t have any and offered a $60 reimbursement instead, sending me useless links from Amazon and Home Depot for FLAT TV boxes that clearly wouldn’t fit a curved monitor. The chat eventually timed out, yet they still sent me a shipping label stating “Shipping damages due to improper packaging will be your responsibility.”
I called support the next day and was bounced around until someone finally agreed to send a box. I guess they found their secret stash of boxes. When it arrived, it didn’t fit the monitor properly and included the wrong styrofoam. After calling again, I was told the styrofoam shouldn’t even have been included and that I could no longer use the $60 reimbursement for packaging wrap since they had provided a box (that barely fit the monitor).
After finally shipping it, I got a text saying the repair center doesn’t have the parts and may take up to 30 days before considering an alternative solution.
I am literally trying to do everything to avoid losing my job in this economy. A $2,000 monitor should not break less than 5 months and I should not have to jump through hoops and wait a month for a replacement or money back. I don’t trust LG anymore and this has added so much stress to my life. I hope you read this and not let LG treat you like this over such an expensive monitor. Life is NOT Good with LG.
TLDR: Monitor failed within 5 months. LG made shipping my responsibility and will take 30+ days to resolve.
Also, I don’t know who trains your overseas CS but teaching them to gaslight your customers is not the move LG.
