I want my cable TV service back

Our long time cable company recently ended their excellent service so we were left with a cable provider we didnt like, satellite or streaming. We chose 3 Roku devices because of the viewing options and ease of adding additional aps. My biggest beef is that the selections of channels i love to watch are scattered across a huge number of aps and some arent available at all. We went with an additional service available thru the ROKU and other than having to punch dozens of buttons to gain access to stuff you want to view, it is the most inclusive of many things i have grown accustomed to over the last 20 yrs. Compared to our old cable, its labor intensive but it gets the job mostly done. Some neighbors have bought other sticks and now wish they'd have bought ROKU after seeing ours work and its options. I still miss cable.

Affordable, quality memory cards

SanDisk memory cards work great in my older superzoom point-n-shoot cameras that i use for bird photography. As the mgpxls get greater in newer cameras i found i needed 64 gb cards so i wouldnt be filling them up so frequently. I never re-use my cards, they get filed, just in case (computers have on occasion completely lost entire vacations and birding trips and had i not saved the orig card, those pics would be gone forever). These cards are so reasonably priced (imagine the cost of film and processing for a 350 shot day out birding) that i dont even consider re-using them. They are a great product and BestBuy puts them on sale frequently so i always load up on them when they do.

Over the last 20 yrs, ive found these SanDisk memory cards to be reliable and consistent. The Extreme Plus works perfectly in my 5 18-24 mpxl cameras, both superzooms, DSLRs and now Mirrorless. For the money, this Best Buy house brand is better than some better known filters ive used in the past that cost twice what this one was. In this day of huge washers/dryers and tiny utility rooms, this is currently the only sort-of solution. After having to crush the exhaust hose in order to get the garage door to open past our new shortest depth made dryer, BB delivery tech had us order this periscope style exhaust hose. It looked like it would work but in all reality, where it mounts to the wall attachment, no space was saved and he ended up going back to a mashed and twisted vent hose and lots of tape. I try to not ever look at it. He did the best he could with what he had. I really felt sorry for the guy. Get a clue utility makers, not all utility rooms are the size of a high school gym.

Does the job, with modifications

Its incredible that no one makes washer/dryers that fit properly in utility rooms in houses made just 25 yrs ago. Back in the last century, everyone made washers and dryers that were 24-26" in depth. Now, the only ones in that size are apartment size units. Every one of them is at least 28" deep and if you want your garage access door to function, you have to crush the exhaust hose and mickey-mouse it into a goofy (sorry Disney) periscope adaptor that may or may not work.
Its time for dryer makers to recognize this and make outlets more adaptive to a rectangular (vertically) transfer hose that would hook up directly to a yet to be invented rectangular side mounted manifold in the wall.
Sometime manufacturers, bigger isnt always better

Whatever happened to load and go?

This washer came highly recommended. We were replacing a 17 year old washer of the same make. I wish they still made the old one. This thing is so digitized its not geezer-friendly. It has no agitator and seems to get out of balance about 75% of the time. Sure it can handle large loads but you CANNOT leave the house with it running. Every load must be monitored to catch it before it starts jumping around and doing flips in the utility room. Bedding and towels are a total nitemare.
In addition to that, where average loads used to get completed and ready for the dryer in 25-30 minutes, this thing frequently will run for over an hour. With no agitator, im not really sure my clothes will get properly clean on the 'quick wash' setting.
One thing i really like is the internal faucet. Very handy. I just miss the old simple wash n go style washers. The older i get, the more old stuff i miss.
