This is a good antennae. It is supposed to be omni directional, but does not seem to be the case. I am rural and pointed to a norther city. I got 40 channels from that direction. A southern city that was closer did not register. The northern city signals did depend on pointing in an optimal position Remember a splitter can drop your signal. I bought an channel master amplifies splitter and works great. did not get a Pre AMP

I bought this for my Mom as she had an antiquated system that was charging alot of money. I did a lot of research and this seemed to match her best. She only has 6 meg DSL so cameras are not a good thing here. I wish the number pad was more of a touch screen console, but it would be more expensive. Also she is not technical so may save me time. I wish it had come with a glass break sensor also, but will look to expand it later

I have been impressed with these. I am not a Wifi fan and actually wired my house with Ethernet. This is changing my mind. I am seeing better signals and less loss.
The only thing I do not like is that it wants to replace your router. In most homes that is fine. In mine, which is set as an office network, I was not going to change out a Sonicwall firewall for it. This means my wireless is running a double nat. I would not advise that unless you know networking as support was not knowledge on that would not be able to assist. So most either plan on replacing your router or look for something else. An additional challenge was a conflict on network occurred because I was adding and not swapping so had to track that down. This was not the fault of eero, it was a different device and me doing something different. I was surprised at how easy it was to set up from a mobile phone as I was again skeptical. I am happy with this Buy.

This came With a security system we bought which was a pleasant add. these are better than the older dots in quality of sound. I generally pay more, but great for additional coverage to our Shows, for a kid, or in this case for my Mom to adjust to as I gave her smart bulbs and Ring security system.

I was leery on getting as I did not know if it would work with Base station or be independent app. It worked. I really like the addition smart notifications it has and you can actually hear the speaker unlike my older one. The light is not bad, I think if you had it in a barn or dark room, it would be bright enough to find something, and would give some light on a dark side of a house to prevent you from walking into something, but it is not going to be overly bright, you would need to buy the flood light if looking for that. Picture quality is great and I can just tell alexa which camera i want and it comes up fairly quick.
