The router provided by my internet provider had very limited spread across my home. With the 3 device Google wifi system I have coverage throughout. Disabled the wifi on the router provied by service provider. The remote management of the network using the app makes managing my home network a snap. The install was very easy. Had it up & running within about 15 minutes.

Absolute necessity for avid streamers

Prefer this model over the stick models that connect directly to the HDMI port on the TV. Had remote reception problems & heat issues with those models. The response time on this model is very fast. My TV is a.smart TV, but I use PSVue for streaming on all TVs in my home and the PSVue app was not available on the Samsung TV I purchased. Mainly use this as my main streaming interface. The common Roku interface on of my TVs in my home makes it easier for all family members. In past have not had consistent performance with Smart TV apps. Roku devices are solid performers.

After returning the first 2 TVs delivered, the 3rd one finally worked out. Best Buy was great with their price matching guarantee. I only went for this TV, because of the great price I got for this size of a TV. Unfortunately, the first 2 TVs had a white shadow image in the center of the screen whenever a very light picture was being presented. Odd that they both had same issue. Fortunately, Best Buy had no issues with either return. So far the 3rd TV is working out, but beware of the white shadow image in the center of the screen. Somewhat disappointed in Samsung's quality control. Got really adept at mounting this TV onto the mounting bracket. Hopefully 3rd time will be the charm.

TL;DR I've now had bright white spots in the middle of 2 of these that I picked up from BestBuy...not good.
I have been holding out on replacing my 2013 70 inch Vizio looking for the right balance of performance and price. I found this 82 incher and thought it would be perfect. I ordered one, went and picked it up...brought it home and got it all setup only to find that there were 2 bright white spots in nearly the very center of the screen that were very noticeable and distracting. I decided to return it to Best Buy and get another one so I had to pack it all back up, bring it to the store, explain and show them the problem and then they ordered me a new one. A week later I went back to the store to pick up the new one, bring it home and set it up...and it has the same problem in nearly exactly the same spot except it was 1 bright white spot instead of 2! Not sure what's up with these or if I just have bad luck but I can't imagine keeping a brand new expensive TV with this sort of problem so looks like I might just need pack this one back up and return it...maybe get a different brand or go back to my old Vizio.

Lots of confusion on the apps! Can ANY app be downloaded just like if you had an Android or Ruku interface. For example, Playstation Vue and YouTube TV are apps I was told could be downloaded. I hope so because I have an 82" on order.

Does the Samsung un82nu8000 allow the TV speakers to be ON while still allowing audio out thru the ARC hdmi connection? I wish to have the TV speakers on and audio going to a receiver.— Max
