Eddie Murphy's Coming to America has recently undergone a 4K restoration and it's a stunner! Whether or not you have seen this movie you are in for a treat. Newbies will be initiated to one of Eddie's best comedies and fans would have never seen it look or heard it sound this good. Talented supporting cast and 80's music add to this comedic gem. Must have addition to your 4K collection. As a little bonus for collectors, first pressing comes with an attractive slipcover.

Absolutely wonderful 4K A/V receiver setup

My recently purchased 4K Sony 65 inch OLED television was not compatible to my old receiver. Based on the Geek Squad technician's, who setup my television, recommendation I returned to my Best Buy store and purchased the Denon AVR S750H, an extended warranty and the Geek Squad AV receiver setup. Kyle, my assigned Geek Squad service person, arrived on time. He wore a mask and protective coverlet for his shoes. He was fast and efficient. Then his demeanor changed. He became slow and informative. He first calibrated my receiver. He carefully explained how everything worked. He even programmed my U-verse remote to make watching television even easier. As a senior citizen new to 4K I was not only appreciative of his service I was impressed by his concern for my complete satisfaction.

GREAT GEEK SQUAD LARGE SCREEN 4K TV INSTALLATION

I am a senior citizen and know just enough about today's technology to make me dangerous. So when my 10 year old Panasonic Plasma television went out, I relied totally on my local Best Buy sales staff and their Geek Squad and they did not disappoint. The Geek Squad removed my old TV and set up the new one. They wore masks, put coverlets on their shoes and were very respectful of my residence. They even arrived early. Tyler, the leader of the 2 man team was terrific and deserves the highest praise. The only problem with the installation was my receiver. Although state of the art 10 years ago, now it is not compatible with my new 4K set. Tyler recommended a couple of 4K receivers that would be the best suited to my needs. The bad news an unexpected expense (which wasn't too bad thanks to over 10,000 points from the TV purchase). The good news the Geek Squad will be back to complete the installation. I highly recommend the Geek Squad and their extended warranties.

You can immediately tell that the John Landis supervised restoration was a labor of love, As a bonus Best Buy has had it on sale. Reference Quality 4K Restoration

Just about every film buff is familiar with JAWS, so I will limit my review to the quality of the 4K restoration and it's a stunner! Jaws has probably never looked or sounded this good. While the first part of the film is extremely dated (and it should be it's 45 years old) the moment the Orca sets sail it becomes an epic battle between man and shark which could have been filmed last week. Grain has been left intact. I opted for the 45th Anniversary Limited Edition with the "Collectible Book." Steelbook collectors may have purchased Best Buy's other option. Either way, if you have 4K collection, JAWS is a must own addition. Highly recommended.

Near Reference Quality 4K Upgrade

Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg fans too young or not familiar with the 1953 Gene Barry and George Pal classic version of War of the Worlds will not be disappointed with the 4K upgrade given to this version by Paramount. Near reference quality audio and video makes this a fan must own. Grain is intact. Audio choice of Dolby Atmos or DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio. In my opinion, while the audio is great for special effects, I found Dakato Fanning's screaming a little shrill at times. But a small price to pay for this excellent 4K Feature Film.

Funniest cartoons on Blu-ray today!

There's a saying amongst cartoon enthusiasts: "the worst Tex Avery cartoon is still better than any other." As a senior citizen I can safely say it was true then and it is even truer now. While many are not considered politically correct by today's standards it is fortunate for Tex Avery devotees, that Warner Bros. decided to release these cartoons uncut and painstakingly restored. Nearly 70 years ago the cartoons were usually better than the movies they accompanied. Walt Disney, Ib Iwerks and Chuck Jones were household names. But no name was better known than Tex Avery. For less than $20 you have an opportunity to watch some of the funniest cartoons ever made. Only caution I have, if you can be easily offended by a cartoon these are probably not for you.

While there's great debate amongst Jane Austen fans as to the adaptation of her unfinished novel, there should be no argument that the Blu-ray is the definitive way to watch Sanditon. High definition picture and 5.1 surround sound does justice to the audio and the video of this 6 hour PBS Masterpiece presentation. While I will leave Andrew Davies' interpretation for fans to discuss, I will highly recommend this Blu-ray. FYI this is the UK Edition regionally mastered for US players and is a huge improvement over our PBS broadcasts.

Hellboy has always been one of my guilty pleasures. As soon as I read the review regarding the improvement in both picture and sound over the standard blu-ray I knew this was going to be a must have upgrade. Ron Perlman was born to play Hellboy. The rest of the cast except Jeffrey Tambor could have been a dozen different actors. Furthermore, unlike many of the other 4K upgrades, the ULTRA HD does include both the Director's Cut and the Theatrical versions. If you have not added this movie to your collection and are a fan of Guillermo Del Toro, you may want to give it a view. A noticeable improvement over all previous formats. Recommended.

I usually game solo, so the cheapest XBOX headset had been my go to headset. Best Buy had this half price during a Deal of the Day and I took the chance. What a difference it makes. This is surround and not stereo. It will take advantage of the XBOX ONE DYNAMIC sound option. The headset is adjustable, so take the time to make it fit as comfortable as possible. One word of caution. Both plugs on the wire to the controller and the wire to the mic MUST snap tightly into place or you will not have sound or mic. If they do not snap you may need either a new controller or a new headset. Once again my recommendation is price based. I have no idea if a headset that retails for more will give you better sound and/or a more comfortable fit.

Does C1 support 5.1 surround sound pass-through?
Yes, so long as it has 4K HDMI eARC technology. I am using a DENON AVR-S750H receiver (2019 model). My old receiver did not have HDMI eARC capability so I had to buy a new receiver for the pass-through to work. Without the new receiver I could only get sound through my TV's speakers.
