Great Investment

I've used free phone apps over the years and resisted spending money on Rosetta Stone, but I'm glad I finally decided to invest. I'm still early in use, but Rosetta Stone proves that you get what you pay for, and investing in language learning does give more value than what you'd get in a free program.

Wonderful Computer but why get rid of USB

My other/old laptop is getting to be about 8 years old and is slow, laggy, outdated etc. Get anxiety just using it for how much is freezes and lags.
Instant loss of that anxiety with this new laptop. Everything is easy to use, fast loading, etc. Takes about 5 seconds to start up the computer from being shut off. The new(to me at least) keyboard features like the touch bar are nice and easy to get used to after a few minutes of using it.
Lightweight and slim. I don't know how to describe the difference in sound from the speakers on this vs my older model; but something about it just sounds different.
Only thing keeping this from 5 stars for me is that they got rid of all of the ports/plug ins other than the obviously mandatory power and also the headphone jack. I had to purchase an adapter to plug in just to be able to have USB access. Other ports that people may want/need like HDMI etc are also missing, but available in that adapter purchase. Was annoyed that I had to spend more money on something that should have been in the computer already, but that's my karma for laughing at iPhone users losing headphone jacks or whatever that was a few years ago. It's still a good computer; I'll live.

Haven't had to use this current purchase of AppleCare, and hopefully won't have to in the future. But in years past with previous lap tops, I've taken advantage of AppleCare, specifically with things like worn out charger cords, etc. It's been worth the price for not only the small things I've used it for, but also for the peace of mind for bigger problems that hopefully don't happen.
