Picked this up for my nephews. This past Christmas they received Smash Bros and well as a couple of gamecube controllers, unfortunately no one bought them an adapter for the controllers and for some reason Nintendo's official controller adapter has been impossible to find so when I saw this at BestBuy I had to snag it. As far as I know they haven't had any trouble with it so it seems like a good alternative to Nintendo's official adapter.

What can I say, it's a simple adapter and works as you'd expect. However IMO you shouldn't need it. Apple's redesign of the Air and the removal of all inputs other than two USB-C ports annoyed me to no end. And of course this being an Apple cable...it is of course overpriced. It's not a matter of if I'd recommend it to a friend, it's more like if you have the redesign Air you pretty much have no choice but to get this if you want to access any of your older stuff.
