Initial Impressions are Good!

Picked up this cable on sale to use with my sons iPad Pro 11”. We only had the cable that came with the iPad and it’s too short. I was surprised at how much thicker this cable is than the ones that are shipped with the iPad. Time will tell how it holds up but for now I’ll give it 5 stars.

Great once Google Fixed some Bugs

TBH I returned this unit because it would never connect to my Hue bridge. I reached out to a support tech and found out it was a known issue and they were working on a bug fix for it and would let me know when it was released. I ended up returning the unit but never heard about the bug fix. I have since then purchased another one and it worked great with all of my smart devices. I actually prefer using it over using HomeKit with Siri. My son loves talking to google too!

I think of all of the streaming devices on the market, the Chromecast is my least favorite. I prefer having a device with apps and a remote that anyone can use...where you don't have to pull out your phone to use it. If you have guests without a smart phone they can't use the Chromecast. I like using it in conjunction with a google home device but other than that I prefer my Apple TV.
