Every time we go to use this there is some reason for an additional charge. It’s frustrating and coupled with the subpar contractors they send for appliance repairs (one issue has required 4 visits, we were charged a fee each time) there really isno reason i can see to renew after this cycle. At a certain point in time, 6 or so years ago it was somewhat worth the cost. But once again enshttification has struck and you will receive an inferior product for an ever increasing subscription price.

I have never been more disappointed with a purchase than this monitor. The picture is fantastic, the ports are on par with the other top brands. But the interface is utter trash. It forgets devices all the time, constantly popups up with samsungs garbage overlays on boot, defaults to the smart tv home screen and has a default timeout of 60 seconds when switching inputs before powering off.
All of these issues have led to me owning a thousand dollar monitor that I don't want to use. Every time I go to power it on I have a sense of dread over what fresh hell I'm going to experience just trying to get an image displayed on the screen. Will it place the display port 2 device on the input quick menu? Will it remember my work device was plugged in to hdmi 1? Will it decide I'd rather see advertisements for appletv shows? Who knows!?!
More often than not, I fall back on the secondary Dell that is on the dual arm mount next to this one. This monitor is nothing but an anxiety attack wrapped in 240hz.
Again, this is a great display panel but you can find identical panels on the Alienware and ASUS OLED's, unless you really want a barely functioning monitor full of bloated, useless garbage and an interface that is pure trash, go with one of those.
Samsung has dropped the ball so hard here I don't know that I'll ever even consider another monitor from them.

Refurbished not worth the savings

We purchased 2 of these refurbished units and both failed with the exclamation point error within a month. This seems to be a common issue with this model and requires either shipping to Dyson for repair (for a fee of $150) or driving it to an authorized repair center (generally only a few per state). Considering the cost of these units, even refurbished, this is not a great deal. Highly recommend against them. Purchase new or an alternate model.

Instructions say to use "drinking water" with this unit. Please define "drinking water" in the context of using this machine. Will regular tap water suffice or does the water need to be better filtered (IE using a Brita filter or bottled water).
Using tap water can wildly vary depending on where you live. Some is potable and pretty safe, other places have water that is too toxic to drink.
Consider that any impurities in the source water will be present in the cubes. We have decent tap water where this is primarily used but still put filtered water through the machine. It'll lower the chance of impurities creating mold or other toxic reactions in your ice maker.
Manual recommends distilled water as well.
