Good bedside Google Assistant

The Lenovo Smart Clock is a good small alarm clock replacement. But describing it as such also negates it to less than it is. Being able to have a Google Assistant with a display enables so many more possibilities than just the Google Home Mini for example can offer. Getting a visual view of your morning commute, the weather, daily agenda, photo album, playlist art, etc is very convenient. Also being able to swipe down to have quick access to turn off lights, or press and hold to change between a dozen different clock faces is convenient. I like how the display dims to almost off during the night so it's easy to sleep without distractions. The only downside is the built in speaker is a little small, so while still loud, it's not the most ideal for listening to music but does a good job. Also the more Google Assistant smart home integrations you have the more you'll get out of it. With the Nest Hello Doorbell I'm able to say "Show Front Door" and see a live feed of my front doorbell camera and press to talk if I can't get there fast enough. Again, very convenient, but some depends on how integrated you are. Highly recommended, but also consider grabbing the Google Nest Hub when on sale if looking for a larger 7" display compared to this with it's 4" display.

Finding Nemo is a great movie with some great themes about family, friendship, and persevering against incredible odds. I only saw this movie years ago when my oldest was still pretty young (4) and the scene with the sharks was too much for him. Now years later he enjoys the show.
Finding Nemo looks great in it's UHD HDR presentation, though can look great in Dolby Vision with the included Movies Anywhere code (providing you have the right hardware).

While I'll always have more sentimentality toward the original release, I like a lot of the aspects of the modern live action film. It was great that they were able to get actors like James Earl Jones to reprise their roles, while bringing in people like John Oliver to pretty perfectly play Zazu (who has not so subtly been hinting for years he has wanted to take the role).
In all the 4K presentation is beautiful, the sunsets over the African Savannah are breathtaking. A digital copy of the movie is included and allows for up to Dolby Vision if you have the right hardware and bandwidth. I highly recommend this film.

Great batteries

I've been using Insignia batteries for several years and have generally found them to be great (with exception of a 25 pack of 2025 batteries where none of them worked...). This pack has been just the same as other packs of Insignia AA AAA batteries in that they all work and hold their charge. I use a pack of 4 AA on my Kwikset 910 door lock and typically change them after 6 months when the batteries are around 40-50% capacity, yet can't function the door lock mechanism well. It's the same with Energizer Max and other batteries, so I stick with Insignia.

Amazing Nintendo VR experience

Labo VR is an amazing experience on the Nintendo Switch. Be aware there is a deluxe pack with some more games and attachments included, but this basic set is well worth the cost. My favorite is the blaster gun that puts you into several alien invasion on-rail shooting missions. Missions range from downtown, subway, skyscraper, and even beaming up inside of the alien ship. The games are highly immersive with a pump action gun that feels surprisingly well built. Other co-op games include launching fruit into hippo's mouths for a high score. Other games are available including some game modes that you can create your own games with.
As for the experience, any VR can make some people nauseous which is something to consider. Higher refresh rates on more expensive VR devices can make the experience better, but some in game movement can make things worse. I tell you this because I had not previously played VR and it hit me pretty hard. VR nausea can be overcome. Play in short bursts, take breaks, drink water, point a fan at yourself, things can get better so don't instantly dismiss it. It took me half a dozen 10-15 minute sessions to overcome most of the nausea, and after 30 or more times playing the game I can play for longer with rarely any discomfort. I've since picked up PSVR and can largely play that with the same level of comfort yet some transitions like running and changing direction can almost instantly trigger nausea. The gameplay on Labo VR is setup in a way that the experiences it offers avoid the standard gameplay in typical games that can cause nausea. My kids 15, 12, 9, and even 5 have tried this game and really enjoy it (at least in short bursts).
All around I can easily recommend picking up this game if you own a Switch.

I'll preface my review stating that I've never played through the original game. I've played through the second reactor a few times, but never found time to play much further into the game. The remake does just that and recreates the events of the original game (part one of three) with some minor and larger changes. In all it's what I think most have wanted from the original game in it's depth and customization. The big change is coming from a standard turn based RPG to a more modern JRPG fighting style. It works really well putting you into the action with simple button presses to use attacks, and switch to heavy attacks. But then pressing "X" slows time and lets you choose special attacks, spells, and items. I played the demo and couldn't get the hang of it at first. It literally took me about 20-30 minutes to fight the first reactor boss. Then replaying that boss in the actual game I got the hang of the attacks and it only took me like two minutes. So yes, there is a learning curve, but after that it becomes second nature. This isn't to say that bosses won't get more difficult, as they do, to the point I was nearly killed in a few missions.
The game looks, sounds and plays beautifully, with exception of some really low resolution textures used for some objects like doors in the game. If you're a fan of the original, or just JRPG's this game is well worth picking up.

That's pretty much it. 2 of the buttons stick, not because of a sticky substance, but because they aren't centered properly in the shell. You can feel them rub up against it, and they make audible noises when they're pushed from the unsticking. It is very annoying. Don't bother with their "refurbished" garbage.

With any gaming controller if you take a clean toothbrush, slightly dampened with water and scrub around the buttons you should be able to fix this. Be sure to not use much water and then dry it when done. There is a rubber membrane under each button with a slight lip around the edge to prevent small amounts of water, dirt or soda from touching the circuitry. Scrubbing all sides of the button, maybe twice after rinsing the toothbrush should fix the problem. I've used this method to fix otherwise filthy game controllers without needing to resort to opening them to clean them.

Seems like a fine product, but I returned this unopened. I purchased this thinking it would do motion tracking for games like Just Dance, however it appears this is only for capturing video, not mocap.

Smart reason I returned mine. This should have been branded that is for "YouTube or Twitch Streaming ONLY". So many reviewers got this camera yet of dozens of reviews only one I saw mentioned this. VR and other functions of the other games won't support this camera. This seems like a huge oversight, so hopefully this changes in a firmware update. But for now if you don't stream, skip this peripheral.

No it can't. It's sole purpose is to stream on YouTube and Twitch, period.

Either of the past PS4 cameras will work great. I'm currently using the cylinder shapped V2 camera, works great for Just Dance and PSVR.

Will I be able to connect this to a Nintendo switch lite?
You would need a third party bluetooth adapter to connect in the USB charge port on the bottom of the Switch Lite. I'm not fully certain these work on the Lite over the standard Switch. So no it won't work natively.
My recommendation is the Switch Pro controller. Though if you're on a budget the PowerA wireless controller is cheaper dealing, missing some features like rumble, a built in 48 hr battery, and amiibo support, but is an otherwise solid $40 remote that occasionally goes on sale.

I recently bought this controller for my Xbox one and went to set it up when I got home with my rechargeable batteries, but they don’t seem to work. Did they make it to where older rechargeable batteries don’t work with the new controllers?
The form factor of the back is slightly different so you'll need a new charger as the back cover is different. That said older rechargeable packs can be charged separately and then installed in the controller.
Another option is to buy a new Xbox Series rechargeable battery pack (using the cover the controller came with) an then charge it via USB-C. This time around there are two sets of battery pins inside. I'm guessing that it won't charge older packs or rechargeable AA batteries via USB-C so that people wouldn't damage their controller by accidentally charging standard AA batteries, hence the second set of charging pins.

Can this controller charge two rechargeable AA batteries if I connect a USB-C cable?
So I tested this myself, and No it does not work. The Xbox Series controller has terminals for standard or rechargeable AA batteries to power the controller. But this time there are some smaller pins for a rechargeable battery pack and these will charge a battery from the USB-C port. But as they are between where AA batteries (rechargeable or not) sit they won't charge rechargeable AA batteries. My guess is this decision was made so that someone didn't inadvertently try to "recharge" non-rechargeable AA batteries as that would be a problem.

Can I turn off the British Accents? (British accents make my very annoyed, it is a pet peeve of mine)
You can quiet them and turn on subtitles. I get it, some of the Scottish accents are pretty thick and hard to understand. No offense to anyone, I'm sure they think the same of some of us Americans.
