Smash Bros Ultimate is a great game with so much content and characters and it plays really well. I'm really enjoying the new spirits mode and have played so many hours into it yet have so much to complete. This bundle has it's pros and cons for me. While I really like the pro controller and great looking box, the steel book is almost a negative for me. It's very plain matte black on the outside with the Smash logo. Inside it has a picture of the battlefield stage. I would have rather had pictures on either the outside, inside, or both on the steel book, but instead it's just rather plain to me and not why I bought this bundle.

I haven't really played much in the Monster Hunter series but picked this one up recently after renting it and having a good time with it months ago. I had played Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on Wii U but only for around 15 hours or so before this game. The combat feels good and the game looks amazing in 4K. It does seem like there is some light slowdown in combat but it's really not too noticeable.

I had seen the original Namco Museum Switch game but had missed it. When I saw this included several great games including up to Pac-man Championship 2. I somehow missed that this also includes Pac-man Vs which uses the free app released with Namco Museum to allow multiple Switch console play with only one person needing to own the game. Pac-man Vs is a great title and really fun to play in this set. All around this set is a nice improvement over the original Namco Museum game in both content and menu set options.

Pokemon Let's Go Eevee is a great release on Switch. Many had assumed it was only beginners entry to the series and too dumbed down for anyone else. Yes, the catching mechanic is like in Pokemon Go, but everything else is improved in my opinion. I'm a fan of the new pokemon encounters even. This game is a great remake for the Yellow game with extra features. Can't wait for the new game, hopefully next year.

The addition of the character creator seems to be the biggest change in this game where you can take assets from other fighters and create your own for limitless possibilities.

Starlink looks and plays incredibly well on Xbox One. It's a fun, vibrant new series that just does everything that No Man's Sky promised to do but didn't. I don't know that was the developers intention, but this game is great. It doesn't feature online play but does have local co-op. There are many activities and tasks but you can largely just go out and do whatever interests you in this fairly expansive solar system. Physical toys scanned in are permanently added to the game digitally if scanned again after a week. There is an alternative to this game as the digital version offers more ships for a $60 price, but playing with the ships is pretty interactive and fun. I'm really hoping the game performs well and the developer continues to expand on the series. I

Best shooter on the Switch

I'm not a huge fan of most competitive shooters as it seems the one's with the most time playing them know right where to camp and take me out the second I spawn. What I really enjoy about Splatoon 2 is that it's a light-hearted yet extremely difficult at time shooter. Matches are three minutes and are 4v4 with players constantly swapping in and out between matches. The basic premise being that you are an Inkling (kid/squid hybrid) that can transform to a squid swimming twice as fast as your walking speed. You shoot, roll, spray, or slosh ink around claiming ground. If you try to walk in enemy ink your walking speed is halved and you are more vulnerable.
There are so many great modes in the game, with my first favorite being turf war. It's simply whichever team covers the most ground wins. There is also tower control, and rain maker (a destructive weapon that each team is fighting over). I really enjoy the new mode, Salmon Run where a team of up to four fight advancing enemies in a relatively small map. Each has particular weaknesses that you have to exploit to take them down. You have to work as a team and it's really fun. There is also an expansive single player mode that teaches you the ropes as you progress, and a really fun DLC pack "Octo Expansion" that goes for $20 and let's you play as the villain through a large 80 level campaign with a lot of unlockable loot.
As you play though the game you level up, earn new clothes, weapons, and gear that has different abilities. And then every month or every other month there are what are called "Splatfests" where participants choose a side and battle with the victor getting rewards to enhance their gear even more.
I loved the first game on Wii U and the second game improves on everything. Like that game Nintendo has slowly been adding to this game with the last major additions happening in early December. Over the course of that time many levels, maps, map re-designs, and items have been added to the game. I have put over 400 hours into this game and don't plan to stop playing anytime soon. My four year old son, 8 and 11 year old daughters and teen even enjoy playing this game. I can't recommend it enough.

The game picks up right after the last one ends, but no foreknowledge of the previous game is really needed as it's an all new adventure. That's pretty much it. 2 of the buttons stick, not because of a sticky substance, but because they aren't centered properly in the shell. You can feel them rub up against it, and they make audible noises when they're pushed from the unsticking. It is very annoying. Don't bother with their "refurbished" garbage.

Clean it

With any gaming controller if you take a clean toothbrush, slightly dampened with water and scrub around the buttons you should be able to fix this. Be sure to not use much water and then dry it when done. There is a rubber membrane under each button with a slight lip around the edge to prevent small amounts of water, dirt or soda from touching the circuitry. Scrubbing all sides of the button, maybe twice after rinsing the toothbrush should fix the problem. I've used this method to fix otherwise filthy game controllers without needing to resort to opening them to clean them.

Seems like a fine product, but I returned this unopened. I purchased this thinking it would do motion tracking for games like Just Dance, however it appears this is only for capturing video, not mocap.

Smart reason I returned mine. This should have been branded that is for "YouTube or Twitch Streaming ONLY". So many reviewers got this camera yet of dozens of reviews only one I saw mentioned this. VR and other functions of the other games won't support this camera. This seems like a huge oversight, so hopefully this changes in a firmware update. But for now if you don't stream, skip this peripheral.

Can this be used for audio commands? For instance, the Xbox Kinect allowed you to say "Xbox Pause" while watching a movie...
No it can't. It's sole purpose is to stream on YouTube and Twitch, period.

What camera do I need to get to play Just Dance 2020/21 with the PS5? Looks like this one doesn't serve that purpose. Thanks.
Either of the past PS4 cameras will work great. I'm currently using the cylinder shapped V2 camera, works great for Just Dance and PSVR.

Will I be able to connect this to a Nintendo switch lite?
You would need a third party bluetooth adapter to connect in the USB charge port on the bottom of the Switch Lite. I'm not fully certain these work on the Lite over the standard Switch. So no it won't work natively.
My recommendation is the Switch Pro controller. Though if you're on a budget the PowerA wireless controller is cheaper dealing, missing some features like rumble, a built in 48 hr battery, and amiibo support, but is an otherwise solid $40 remote that occasionally goes on sale.

I recently bought this controller for my Xbox one and went to set it up when I got home with my rechargeable batteries, but they don’t seem to work. Did they make it to where older rechargeable batteries don’t work with the new controllers?
The form factor of the back is slightly different so you'll need a new charger as the back cover is different. That said older rechargeable packs can be charged separately and then installed in the controller.
Another option is to buy a new Xbox Series rechargeable battery pack (using the cover the controller came with) an then charge it via USB-C. This time around there are two sets of battery pins inside. I'm guessing that it won't charge older packs or rechargeable AA batteries via USB-C so that people wouldn't damage their controller by accidentally charging standard AA batteries, hence the second set of charging pins.

It uses the same headset port connection as the previous controller s, so yes.

Can this controller charge two rechargeable AA batteries if I connect a USB-C cable?
So I tested this myself, and No it does not work. The Xbox Series controller has terminals for standard or rechargeable AA batteries to power the controller. But this time there are some smaller pins for a rechargeable battery pack and these will charge a battery from the USB-C port. But as they are between where AA batteries (rechargeable or not) sit they won't charge rechargeable AA batteries. My guess is this decision was made so that someone didn't inadvertently try to "recharge" non-rechargeable AA batteries as that would be a problem.

Can I turn off the British Accents? (British accents make my very annoyed, it is a pet peeve of mine)
You can quiet them and turn on subtitles. I get it, some of the Scottish accents are pretty thick and hard to understand. No offense to anyone, I'm sure they think the same of some of us Americans.
