Great shooter, great XS patch

I purchased Metro Exodus on PC, but being unable to find a GPU in today's market, yet having found an Xbox Series X, I grabbed this game. Pre-patch this game ran very well, but lacked some of the more ambitious ray-traced lighting effects and shadowing of it's more advanced PC counterpart. With the patch installed the game runs at just under 4K (somewhere between 1600 and 1800p). But the biggest enhancement is the how much more realistic characters and the environments look with ray tracing. The game is still equally as performant, running at 60fps, and is a great shooter and example of what the Series consoles are capable of. Well that is until the new Unreal Engine 5 games start coming out as soon as next year. All around if you are a fan of the Metro series, or like me didn't really dive into the series until this game, I highly recommend grabbing this game. On clearance this game is a great value, but consider the Series X edition that already has the patch included on disc as well as all of the extra DLC if you are interested in the extended story and levels.

Great racing game on Switch

Burnout Paradise originally released on the PS3 and 360 back in January 2008 (13 years at the time of this review), and while the original game was great it got an HD remaster for other consoles three years ago and then finally arrived on Switch. The Switch release is beautiful and runs very smoothly. Criterion, who after making the original went on to make games in the NFS franchise arguably had their best work in this game.

Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart is both a great return for the series and an example of what the PS5 is capable of. The only downside I can really leverage against the game is that it doesn't have a two player function like many of the past games on PS3 had. If you have a 4K HDR equipped TV the visuals are great. I find myself preferring the quality mode as my Vizio doesn't handle the performance RT mode that well and the image is a little too washed out and low resolution for me. But if you are running this on a 1080p screen you can get the best of both world with high frame rate and visuals. The story is great and while the game isn't incredibly long, it's satisfying. All around a great game if you can manage to get a PS5.

Miitopia is a uniquely bizarre title that takes the standard RPG formula and makes it work for a new generation. It retains the standard HP, MP gameplay but much of your adventure focuses on team relationships with zany wacky scripting. In this single-player adventure, you and your Mii companions take on the Dark Lord to free the kingdom from his face stealing tyranny.
Originally released on the 3DS in 2017 the game gets a new HD coat of paint as well as some new features. The new features include a horse that can be added to your party as well as new skills, jobs, and character customizations (especially in hair).
This game is a great adventure even if you have played it before. It's a good pickup for adults down to kids of eight years old, though my teens love it the most. Here's hoping that Nintendo also re-releases Tomodachi Life on the Switch at some point as well. It deserves a second chance as well.

Great Resident Evil title

I bought this game having played the first Maiden demo on PS5. The visuals are great and the gameplay is really good as well. Like Resident Evil 7 before it the game is still in the third person. For better or worse the third person view seems to be in the past for mainline games (we'll see about any new Resident Evil Chronicles title). The atmosphere and storytelling are really good though and worth playing.
As far as story it plays off of the events of Resident Evil 7 as a follow-up taking place with the same main character, Ethan. I won't give away any spoilers, but it is possible to play this game with no knowledge of the past game.
For gameplay there are many thematic scripted events and ammo seems to be more abundant than in past games. All around I'm a fan of the changes though I can see how fans of some of the survival elements of the past could be a little disappointed. In spite of that I still highly recommend grabbing this game, especially if you're a fan of the series, or just enjoy a good thematic game.

Great game that improves on the original in many ways. The presentation is amazing and looks incredible on Switch. The gameplay is fun and intuitive. It has a story mode that teaches you all the basics and it does so over the course of several levels. Everything is also for the most part voiced very well, which is great especially for younger players. The only downside (similar to the original) is that the game doesn't necessarily tell you what will get you a higher star rating on your photos. If you are interested at all in Pokemon, you should pick this game up, or at least have it on your radar.

That's pretty much it. 2 of the buttons stick, not because of a sticky substance, but because they aren't centered properly in the shell. You can feel them rub up against it, and they make audible noises when they're pushed from the unsticking. It is very annoying. Don't bother with their "refurbished" garbage.

With any gaming controller if you take a clean toothbrush, slightly dampened with water and scrub around the buttons you should be able to fix this. Be sure to not use much water and then dry it when done. There is a rubber membrane under each button with a slight lip around the edge to prevent small amounts of water, dirt or soda from touching the circuitry. Scrubbing all sides of the button, maybe twice after rinsing the toothbrush should fix the problem. I've used this method to fix otherwise filthy game controllers without needing to resort to opening them to clean them.

Smart reason I returned mine. This should have been branded that is for "YouTube or Twitch Streaming ONLY". So many reviewers got this camera yet of dozens of reviews only one I saw mentioned this. VR and other functions of the other games won't support this camera. This seems like a huge oversight, so hopefully this changes in a firmware update. But for now if you don't stream, skip this peripheral.

If I buy the physycal version, is there a way to get the items in the game without having to open the toys?
All physical versions allow for digital play of at least the included ships, pilots and weapons without ever needing to connect any of the toys. Additional physical toys you purchase will require you to connect them to play. But these items can then be used digitally for seven days before needing to scan them in again for another seven days of digital use.

If i don’t play pokemon go, should i get this game?
I play Pokemon Go and have linked my game to Pokemon Go for some Pokemon transfers. To do this you have to play a while into the game, and even then I largely encounter every Pokemon in Let's Go without too much hassle. So the biggest draw seems to be that you could transfer large amounts of Pokemon into Let's Go parks where you can play mini-games where you have I believe 15 or so of the same Pokemon.
To answer your question, yes just grab this game. The integrations with Pokemon Go are so insignificant that they are largely forgettable. If you enjoyed Pokemon Yellow or are into Pokemon in any way, this game is well worth playing.

Do you have to use the Switch while building it? I'm wondering if one kid can be playing a different game on the Switch while the other one builds it. Or are the instructions digital? Thanks!
The instructions are interactive and best used on the Switch as you get an interactive 3D view of the build as you follow it in real time. That said there are Youtube videos of others building theirs while following the instruction on the Switch game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZ1Ygg0TZ8E Still I don't know how much I would recommend not using the Switch to build it. Maybe they could help each other find the necessary sheets and parts or one moves rotates the instructions as the other builds, just an idea. Good luck.

I know it's a cartridge for Torna and a code for the DLC; however, does anyone know if the download code is a standard expansion pass and would include the download for Torna like normal, or is it modified to only have the DLC up to but excluding Torna?
It's a modified download so in the eShop you will still see the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Season Pass as purchasable though it would be wholly unnecessary as you would have the Torna content on cartridge.
