Great game that harkens back to the old 8-bit Nintendo days. Excellent soundtrack just like in the first game too. It's very hard, but the variety in characters, powerups, enemies, and stages make it worth while to learn the stage layouts and enemy tendencies. Long live old school gaming!

Where functionality meets form, style, and beauty!

The words that come to mind when I think of Samsung products: reliable, powerful, and sexy. That's basically all anyone would want in any form of tech. After buying the Galaxy Tab S7+ last year (which was my first ever tablet purchase), I knew I would immediately need a case for protection but I really didn't think the prices for the official Samsung book covers (with or without keyboard) were justifiable. I balked at the $230 MSRP and ended up buying an aftermarket ProCase cover for $15-20 on Amazon.
So it has been on sale for a couple weeks now, and I knew I had to get it. Once I opened it up and got it all attached, the realization came to me... this official Keyboard book cover is a dream. This is probably some of the coolest tech up there with things like Microsoft's Surface keyboard cover, the Xbox Elite Controller series 2, and even Nintendo's Switch Joycons. Unlike the aftermarket case I have, it does not cover the edges/sides of the tablet so if you did drop it on one its corners, it may fall out or become damaged or scratched. Yet the magnets that hold the tablet to the case are very powerful and I sat in bed with it attached to the tablet, trying to shake the tablet off of the back of the case with the cover open. It wouldn't bulge even a bit!
Compared to the regular Samsung Book Cover, this Keyboard Cover has a couple improvements. Whereas the regular book cover has only 2 upright portrait viewing angles, the keyboard cover can be docked at any angle as the flap on the back cover is freely foldable, being attached by a very sturdy hinge. On the opposite end of the back cover from this flap is yet ANOTHER flap covering the tablet's S-Pen which is great for protecting the pen while it's charging--something the original cover doesn't have.
The keyboard is fantastic, magnetically snaps on very easily, and works just it would on a Windows PC except you're doing everything on Android and on a super fast tablet. I once thought I'd buy a Surface Pro to complement my desktop gaming PC but once I bought this tablet last year and then just now bought the keyboard cover, I feel like I all set with a fully functional powerful tablet laptop!
I really like the level of protection I get from my aftermarket case, but every time I remove it or put it back on, I'm almost always weary of scratching the sides, So this case being fully magnetic is preferred for being able to constantly attach and remove the tablet. Though I think I'm more inclined to travel with my aftermarket case and maybe use the Keyboard Book Cover for extended sessions at a local cafe.
Is this worth the full $230 MSRP? I don't think so. Is it worth buying during a sale (like the half-off $115 active price now)? Possibly yes. I managed to get my price down to around $90 with tax using Best Buy rewards. That's an excellent price for getting a really cool, sexy, and functional accessory that could make your tablet browsing a little easier and potentially replace any PC or laptop unless your activities are things like high graphical gaming or deep video editing. While it doesn't offer full protection, I realized that the sides of tablet always being revealed really show off the sexy form factor of the Tab S7+ and Samsung's consistently creative design philosophy. If you're on a budget, you could probably just go with the original book cover or an aftermarket case. When I bought the Tab, I was mainly planning on using it to save paper for piano sheet music while playing on my piano keyboard, but I've gotten into composing music a bit, so when I need a qwerty keyboard, I also have a very inexpensive mini bluetooth keyboard that can sit on my lap or at the edge of the piano keyboard while leaving the tablet sitting on my music stand on my piano keyboard. That, too, is an alternative option to the official keyboard cover.

The back cover is foldable to allow the tablet to be docked into the front of the cover for upright viewing at 2 different angles. I've heard some people complain that the tablet can slip when in this converted mode, but the magnets that are also inside the front of the case really the job in keeping the tablet still compared to my aftermarket case that can do the same exact thing with less stability without magnets. The slot to rest the pen between the front and back covers is great and is a welcome addition to the original magnetic platform in back of the tablet.
Since it is magnetic, the case is very easy to put on or take off. I really like the level of protection I get from my aftermarket case, but everytime I remove it or put it back on, I'm almost always weary of scratching the sides, I guess that's the trade off with having extra protection.
I think I'm more inclined to travel with my aftermarket case and maybe use this official Book Cover or the Keyboard Book Cover for extended sessions at a local cafe. These days, being mostly home during the pandemic, this is the case I default to.

Excellent mini console making gaming in bed LITE!

Though I call this a mini console, it really is mostly the same as the original Switch but without... the Switching feature to a TV that makes a Switch a Switch lol! You still have access to the giant library of games that the original Switch can play with the exception of gameplay that absolutely requires Joycons. However, if you like to have extended gaming session in bed from time to time, this is the device for you. The form factor, size, and weight are perfect for long sessions. Whereas I've owned the Mario Odyssey edition original Switch for a few years and gamed in bed with it quite a bit, the lite has become my default portable since it puts much less stress on my wrists and arms!
The only downside I've noticed from a technical standpoint is the precision of the d-pad. You would think a historic company like Nintendo would be able to design flawless controls by now, but the d-pad does not respond like I would like it to in a game like Tetris 99. I even returned the first Switch Lite I bought to Best Buy to make sure it wasn't a defect with that particular unit, but it seems it may have been a design flaw. I heard the original units at launch had issues with hitting diagonals and it seems they've corrected that. But as a result, when playing against high level players in the end game of a Tetris 99 match, I'm more prone to making erroneous hard drops or left and right movements during a hard drop given how fast and accurate I have to play to win. This seems to only be with Tetris and I imagine the precision of the d-pad in platforming games may be enough (but I haven't tested it much).

Excellent tablet. I've only owned Galaxy Notes in the past so this is my first official tablet and it compliments my phone so well. Perfect for reading news, general browsing, youtube, etc. I bought it mainly for storing sheet music but I figured I'd want to get a nice one to be able to watch movies and/or play games if I wanted. It might be a bit pricey for a tablet, but its versatility and high specs make it a buy to own for a long time.

Excellent controller for platform with minor flaws

Dust particles big enough to distract me during gaming started creeping into my aging PSP-2000 and sticking onto its screen from under last night. I knew I definitely needed to fix that to play a fast and frantic platforming shmup like the Metal Slug Anthology. As I took apart my PSP to clean it, I realized I could just extract an image, put it into my phone, and use the Razer Kishi I bought last month. I loaded up the game, started playing, and the Kishi worked very well except when my character would creep forward a little while crouching using the d-pad when I didn't intend it...
That's pretty much the story on most platforming intensive games when using this controller. It's a fantastic controller with the one flaw that's been nagging even the big Nintendo with its pro controllers (LOL). This controller is a great fit for probably every phone. It officially supports my super large Galaxy Note 10+, but on the first few times of attaching the controller, I had to fully stretch it (which made me a little weary of breaking the controller). After a few times, it seemed slightly more comfortable to slip the phone into controller and attach the other end.
The rubber stops that are already in the controller are removable if you have a case on your phone and would like to keep it on. I wish the Note 10+'s official flipcase was supported, but I guess it would be hard to support every possible case in existence.
It works very well on every game I've tried it on so far, from Nintendo 64 emulated first person shooters like Goldeneye, Turok, Perfect Dark and the official Android fps Modern Combat 5 to platformers on the GBA like Metroid and Astro Boy.
The buttons press well comparably to official console controllers in existence and the joysticks work like they should. Given the issue aforementioned at the beginning of this review, you can imagine this is not a fighting game favored d-pad and it works merely okay when I tried it out on the PS1 emulated Capcom vs. SNK Pro. The mushy-ness doesn't quite help. Anyone who wants more precision on the d-pad should get a controller from another manufacturer like 8BitDo.

I would give it a 4.5/5 if I could but it truly is a great controller aside from the minor issues mentioned. I can see why many Youtube reviewers call it the greatest connected controller for android ever made. At the end of the day though, I'll still very much prefer Sony's old PSP d-pad to play Metal Slug lol.

Double tax charged, don't buy until they fix this

I tried to explain this to a customer service representative over Best Buy online chat and the best they could give me was the generic answer like "Best Buy gift cards are tax free and this Playstation Store card has state taxes charged to it." I bought a $25 game off of PSN and was charged tax even though I was already charged tax buying this from Best Buy. So now if you're buying a gift card from here and then buying a game that is the value of the gift card you bought, you'll be double taxed. Every other video game gift card, whether Xbox, Nintendo, or Steam is tax free. I think they switched to some other vendor to make things more simple (the product page is different and more streamline) but now taxes are charged to this. Do not buy this until it is fixed.

Is this still going well for you? I just picked up a 2070 super from Best Buy to upgrade in my G20CB (I think it's pretty much the same as the G20AJ). The only thing I've heard to watch out for is rising temps since all the components are so tightly packed which isn't too great for open-air fan cards like these.
