Great Blu-ray Release, Movie Not So Much
on September 27, 2019

This is a good Blu-ray release put together by 20th Century Fox, MGM, and Orion Pictures. It only contains a Blu-ray disc and a digital code for streaming on the go. The Blu-ray has quite a bit of special features and the video and audio quality is excellent on the movie itself. It would've been nice to see this get a 4K release for even better video and audio, but this'll do for now.

Whoa. Lionsgate For The Win.

This 4K Blu-ray release of Apocalypse Now is loaded. And boy, do I mean loaded. It includes the Final Cut and the Redux versions on both 4K UHD and Blu-ray, along with plenty of special features on separate Blu-ray discs. The set is a total of 6 discs and includes a digital copy for you on-the-go streamers.
Now for the really good stuff. The video quality on this is superb. The amount of detail now is awesome, and extremely high quality. This is a a brand new 4K restoration from Lionsgate, and the movie looks the best it ever has, and I would say it's faithful to it's original theatrical release. There's plenty of original film grain in the picture. Noise reduction was kept to a minimum, making this an excellent 4K transfer over all.
The Dolby ATMOS sound is very impressive. Expect plenty of ground-shaking bass, clear dialogue, and surround sound to immerse you in the movie, just like if you were watching it in a theater. It's like having a 35mm film reel almost. Lionsgate did an amazing job with this release.
If you have a 4K TV, 4K Player, and a good surround sound system, or if you're a fan of this movie and old-school cinema, this is a must buy. For about 20 dollars, this is definitely worth adding to your collection - and can't go wrong with that. Highly recommended.

This is simply awesome!

In terms of quality, Warner Bros has put together one of the best 4K Blu-ray sets of the year right here with Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The video quality is superb, and the default Dolby ATMOS sound is simply astounding, with monstrous bass, clear dialogue, and plenty of surround sound for nothing short of an immersive and destructive experience - which is AWESOME for a movie like this.
The packaging includes the 4K UHD along with the standard Blu-ray disc and a digital copy, so this set is definitely worth picking up. If you have a 4K TV, 4K Blu-ray player, along with a good surround sound system, expect awesomeness and reference theater quality picture and sound. If you're a Godzilla fan and a home theater fan, you won't be disappointed.

Disney with another disappointing 4K Blu-ray
on August 18, 2019

This is the biggest movie of 2019. Avengers: Endgame SMASHED all kinds of records and was a major, major, major success. You would think Disney would treat this film, along with every other Marvel film, with respect and give it the treatment it deserves for it's 4K UHD Blu-ray debut, but they have failed once again.
Here we get a 4K UHD disc with a 3-HOUR movie on a measly BD-66 instead of a BD-100, which would have DRAMATICALLY increased the video quality and overall bitrate. Wow. Is this how you treat your fans and your films, Disney?
Disney also cheapened out and failed to provide a proper 4K native transfer on this disc, so here we get a 2K upscale instead. This is simply awful and UNACCEPTABLE.
The audio is underwhelming because Disney continues to master the audio at a low volume level. The Dolby ATMOS track on this movie is simply decent at best but will require some upward volume adjustments. I had to turn it up about 6 clicks just to hear it.
There are barely any special features here. This is basically a mediocre release with a cheap looking SteelBook.
If Warner Bros could load one of their most hated movies by fans, Batman v Superman, with a native 4K transfer, superb audio, and plenty of bonus features - then why can't Disney?
If Lionsgate could load their biggest flop of 2019, Hellboy, with a native 4K transfer, superb audio, and hours of extras - why can't Disney?
These 4K Blu-ray titles from Disney have gotten extremely difficult to justify purchasing for 30 to 35 dollars because they simply do a terrible job compared to other studios.
I think it's time we consumers start talking with our wallets and begin cutting our support of Disney titles, especially when there are other movie studios out there doing a much better job by putting in much, much more effort and attention into their films.
Film preservation is very important and Disney just doesn't take it seriously enough to warrant our support.
This 4K UHD Blu-ray release was a slap in the face to the fans. Marvel Studios and Disney should be ashamed to have released this trash.

Meh movie, but excellent 4K Blu-ray disc

This 4K Blu-ray of Hellboy (2019) is amazing. The video quality is superb, with excellent HDR and detail, thanks to the native 4K resolution brought to us by Lionsgate.
The audio is excellently mixed, with plenty of powerful bass, crispy clear dialogue, overhead and surround sound. This Dolby ATMOS track really kicks major butt and is available on both the 4K UHD disc along with the standard Blu-ray.
There is also lots and lots of special features included on the standard Blu-ray, which is worth checking out if you're a movie buff.
I personally enjoyed the original Guillermo Del Toro and Ron Perlman Hellboy movies much more. Those movies were fun, action packed packed, funny, and creative. If you're thinking of buying this 2019 Hellboy reboot, I highly suggest renting it first due to all the mixed reactions from audiences.
If you're just a straight movie buff with a 4K TV and a surround sound system, you won't be disappointed.

This is a neat little 4K Blu-ray SteelBook with a simple design. The 4K UHD disc contains the movie with top of the line video and audio quality. The standard Blu-ray contains the movie in HD, along with plenty of behind the scenes features, which I found to awesome since I enjoyed the movie. Universal Studios has been doing an excellent job putting together their latest 4K Blu-ray releases, making them worth buying. Highly recommended.

Somewhat lazy of Paramount

I was hoping this release of Mean Girls would include something new but it's the same Blu-ray disc that has been floating around for years, just new pink packaging.
The video and audio quality are both still okay on this release but hopefully we'll get a new, remastered 4K + Blu-ray release in the future.
If you're a fan of the movie, this release will do for now.

This is a good looking SteelBook, which includes the 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray, and a digital code for streaming on the go.
The video quality looks great on both 4K and Blu-ray. There's a handful of special features on the Blu-ray so it's worthwhile.
The only downside has to be the audio. I have to turn up the volume about 10 clicks just to hear anything. Bass levels, action sequences, surround sound effects, and dialogue are good once you increase the volume. Disney and Marvel really need to improve on this though.

This set features both entry into the original sci-fi comedy franchise. In Ghostbusters, a team of scientists calling themselves the 'Ghostbusters' attempt to save New York City from an influx of evil supernatural spirits; in Ghostbusters 2, the Ghostbusters are reunited after a huge river of ectoplasm is discovered.

Plain ol' Ordinary SteelBook

The cover looks alright. Packaging includes everything I was expecting but the disc's are very, very, very difficult to remove from the case. Almost broke a disc in half trying to get them out. The hubs that hold the discs in place make it extremely difficult.
Other than that, it's an okay purchase but it would be best to wait for a price drop since it's basically the same disc's that have been floating around for years, a few new bonus features being the exception.

Censored and Low Quality
on June 7, 2019

Toy Story 2 is a classic film, but this 4K UHD Blu-ray release went wrong in a few places. First, the movie is censored at the end of the film, having the end-credit blooper scene censored/removed from both the 4K UHD and the Blu-ray disc.
Movies are a product of their time (keep in mind that Toy Story 2 is a 20+ year old movie) so this revisionism by Disney/Pixar is silly. By purchasing this 4K UHD Blu-ray, it kinda' seems that you will not be getting the film as it was originally created by the filmmakers.
Disney should have placed a simple disclaimer before the film in order to not only distance themselves from any possible controversy, but to also to educate on film history and keep the movie intact for posterity. If this becomes a trend. years from now, people will look back and see how much Disney tried to cover things up. Cover-ups are never good. Times have changed and people have gotten smarter, so I think it's important for Disney/Pixar to not only lead, but to educate - and a simple little disclaimer would have sufficed for a situation like this.
The blooper scene was funny once upon a time, but it is tasteless and crude today. That's a fact. Times have changed, but we need to find ways to be more educational as society progresses, and I hope Disney gets things figured out.
Another issue with this release is the typical low audio volume that all Disney movies have. You will have to crank this up in order to hear the right bass levels and proper sound dynamics - and even then, it still sounds weak. The Blu-ray and DVD versions that have been floating around for years happen to have better audio than this. Disney continues to pump out terrible sound mixes on 4K + Blu-ray, such as The Incredibles, Coco, Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther, to the point where purchasing their films is beginning to feel like a waste of money.
Do I recommend this release? No. Save your time and money, unless you have a few bucks to spare or happen to catch it on sale. Disney continues to be a poor example in the film industry and to children, simply based on their lack of taking ownership, lack of respect for film preservation, and inferior audio.
The only positive thing I can say is... these Toy Story SteelBook's look pretty darn nice. But nothing else.

Can I use this even if my tv isn’t 4k? And will it look better

You can, but it's not recommended since you will not notice a difference in quality. Older TV's, cable boxes, video game consoles, and Blu-ray players can only output a certain amount of quality (bandwidth) therefor it would not fully utilize this 8K Ultra High Speed cable to it's full potential. For the full experience, think about upgrading your TV, and the gear attached to it, to 4K sometime in the future - that's when this cable will make a true difference in both audio and video quality for movies and gaming.

Is this product compatible with samsung qled tvs?

Standalone speakers like this one are normally connected to an audio receiver, and the receiver connects to your TV through HDMI cables. This is not a soundbar.

So I'm a buy this game but before I do does it require internet to play like is it a psn game where it only works with internet

Offline gaming is possible. The game includes an offline campaign story mode. Otherwise, the majority of the game requires an internet connection since it focuses mostly on multiplayer gaming.
