Warner Bros has provided Batman fans here with a remastered 4K UHD and Blu-ray and it looks superb. The video quality is insane, with excellent colors and as close to a 35mm print as possible.
The audio has been updated with a new Dolby ATMOS mix, which also sounds amazing. The only takeaway is that WB didn't include the original theatrical sound mix as a secondary option - instead we get another ATMOS downmix, which is silly and redundant.
All of the special features are included on the Blu-ray so that's a plus. The 4K UHD is intelligently used for pure quality bitrate of both video and audio - but the Blu-ray looks great as well.
Package includes a digital copy code for steaming on the go, but the real quality is in the disc's. Trust me.
This is worth buying. If you're a Batman fan, you should enjoy this very much. I love it and am happy to have this in my collection.

Kino Lorber with a wonderful 4K release

Kino Lorber did a wonderful job with their first 4K UHD release of Hannibal. The video has been remastered for not just the 4K UHD disc, but also the Blu-ray, and it looks amazing. Very, very close to the theatrical source.
I think the audio could have used a little updating to a Dolby ATMOS mix for the action sequence, but it isn't entirely necessary for a film like this. Kino Lorber includes the original theatrical mix here, which is still great. As fans, you gotta appreciate how true KL is being to the source here.
There is no digital copy code included with this release, but not a deal breaker since those are only good for quick convenience instead of quality, and trust me, these disc's bring all the quality you need.
Worth it.

Lionsgate Knocks it Out of the Park

First and foremost, Sicario is a hellava movie. No spoilers here, but if you're into crime and drama films, this is worth checking out immediately.
Anyway, Lionsgate has put together an excellent release for Sicario on 4K Blu-ray. The video is superb, with a sharp and detailed image throughout the entire film, identical to the theatrical presentation of the film. It looks great. This is what film lovers want - a presentation as close to the theatrical exhibition as possible.
The audio is amazing. Here we get a Dolby ATMOS track that makes explosions sound exhilarating, and dialogue that has excellent clarity. There's also a little overhead and surround sound activity, along with great bass. If you have a surround sound system, this will sound superb.
Packaging includes a digital copy (for those who may want to stream the film while away from home), along with a Blu-ray disc. Would have been nice if this had a lot more special features, but it's a good release nevertheless.
If you have a good 4K TV, a 4K Blu-ray player, and a surround sound system, you will not be disappointed with this release by Lionsgate. It's awesome and worth adding to your movie collection.

Lionsgate has done a great job with this release of A Simple Favor on 4K Blu-ray. The video quality looks great, and even a little better with Dolby Vision if your TV or player supports it, bringing a nice clean image with realistic colors and detail, very identical to the theatrical presentation.
The audio is a high quality Dolby TrueHD soundtrack that fits perfectly for a movie like this, which is carried by mostly dialogue. There's a bit of surround sound activity as well, so if you have a good surround sound system, this will sound great.
Packaging includes a digital code for those looking to stream while away from home, along with a Blu-ray disc that includes basically the same movie and special features as the 4K UHD disc. I think they should have included way more special featurettes on the Blu-ray disc(s), but Lionsgate did a good job regardless.
If you're a fan of Anna Kendrick and/or Blake Lively in general, you should enjoy this film and add it to your movie collection.

Sony brings the 1998 Godzilla to 4K Blu-ray, and it's awesome. Superb video quality, with a good amount of grain, along with a high quality Dolby ATMOS soundtrack - both of which should please fans of this movie.

I'm surprised a 90s classic like Cliffhanger has made it's way to 4K Blu-ray. Sony has done a excellent job, providing an excellent transfer to the format, very much identical to the theatrical presentation of the film. This is exactly what fans want: video and audio quality as close to the source format as possible.
The audio is great for a film of this age. Packaging also includes a digital code for streaming on the go, along with a Blu-ray - which seems to be the same Blu-ray released a few years ago, but no worries, it still holds up today just fine.
Worth adding to your movie collection, especially if you have a 4K TV and maybe even a surround sound system.

Sony has remastered Black Hawk Down for 4K UHD Blu-ray with excellent video and audio quality. Video quality is vibrant and has a good amount of film grain, while the upgraded Dolby ATMOS audio provides an immersing experience, although it could have used a little more bass.
Packaging includes a standard Blu-ray, which isn't remastered and contains the same old transfer from a few years ago, although it would have been nice if Sony would have also upgraded it.
This is a good release overall and worth adding to your movie collection, especially if you have a good 4K TV and a surround sound system at home.

Nice Bundle of the Younger X-Men Movies in 4K

I initially pre-ordered this X-Men: Beginnings Trilogy [4K + Blu-ray] set but somehow received a different version in a larger box, which appears to exclude the digital copy codes for streaming on-the-go, along with the Dark Phoenix Fandango Movie Money. I had to return the item to Best Buy and exchange it for the correct version, as pictured on the website. Best Buy should have placed a separate listing for the other version.
Anyway, upon obtain the correct version, it includes all 3 films (First Class, Days of Future Past, and Apocalypse) along with the Fandango Movie Money and the digital code for streaming - but the discs are the same as the previous versions that have been floating around for the past few years.
It would have been nice if 20th Century Fox would have remastered these for 4K (since these are simply 2K upscales), but this is still a good release, in the highest quality possible for home media and collectors. Worth a buy, especially if you're a fan of comic book movies, which I know I am.

Mortal Kombat 11 is lots of fun. The story mode was amazing and felt like a movie. The gameplay is somewhat identical to the previous Mortal Kombat games in the past few years. Characters can be customized a bit more and you can unlock a lot more costume skins.
There's a few things I don't like about this version of the game, such as the weak roster and the lack of tag team online gaming, but I'm hopeful that a future DLC update with more content and features would be released in the future. Fingers crossed.
Unlockables were a bit of intensive work in the beginning but thankfully the developers have released a patch which awards you 50,000 koins - putting you in a position to unlock a lot more stuff throughout the Krypt section of the game much faster.
Over all, this is a good game.

After watching the trailer and a few gameplay streams on Twitch, I decided to give World War Z a go. I bought the game for PS4, fired it up, next thing I know I'm with a few friends online having lots of fun exterminating zombies... lots of zombies... swarms of zombies.
Such an awesome, fun game. The online multiplayer campaign is extremely fun but it is limited to just 4 levels, which can be completed in less than 24 hours. I hope the developers of the game eventually release new content, especially for the online multiplayer campaign, with various playable cities throughout the world, in order to keep the story moving forward. The game is currently extremely short, and that's my only complaint about it.
