Still Going Strong!!

The Samsung UN58J5190AFXZA i brought almost 6 years ago is still going strong. Wish it had more hdmi & usb ports but I knew that when I brought it. Biggest complaint the smart TV interface has slowed down and now 6 years later missing a lot of the current apps. Which is to be expected. I'm thinking about buying the Samsung UN70TU6985FXZA to replace this one.

This is the first Samsung Washing Machine we ever purchased. It's also the largest (5.4 Cu. Ft.). So big we can now wash large comforters. This washing machine has so many features. We have owned it for 3.5 months & so far no problems.
My SNL kids who live next door to us. Their washing machine broke down a few weeks ago. They have been using our Samsung Washing Machine. They liked it so much they just brought the same model from BB.

Brought this 4K tv 14 months ago. So far knock on wood no problems with the TV. Although I did purchase a 5 yr. extended warranty. Really like the Roku interface. Has all the apps we will ever need. My only gripe would be that I really don't see the advantages of 4K on this particular tv. Probably because it only has 4K HDR. I have adjusted the settings from some I found online. But I still think my 5 year old 58" Samsung smart tv looks better.

Even at that there is nothing but static. This will be the last time I purchase Logitech speakers for my computer.

My Samsung UN58J5190AFXZA is still going strong after almost 6 years, My only complaint is the smart TV function has slowed down and missing a lot of current apps. And of course it's only 1080p & not 4K. I see lots of reviews of Samsung & other brands not even lasting 1 or 2 years. Count your blessings it lasted that long.

The U6GR also has 4K resolution, Dolby Vision HDR and Full Array Local Dimming Zones. Sounds like science, looks like a way more expensive set. Especially with a quad-core processor managing all the algorithms that add up to more colors, more precision and more ooohhh.

So you brought a 65" Hisense U6G (Android TV) for $650. Now you see that the 65" Hisense 65U6GR (Roku TV) was on sale for $150 less. You do realize that these are different TV'a right? But you want BB to give you back $150 on the U6G one. And for that you give this the 65U6GR TV a 2 star rating.

Sounds like a great TV. But I won't be buying it until it drops back down to $499.99. Every time it does (twice now) it ends up being OOS or unavailable in my area. But when it goes back up in price it magically is back in stock or available in my area.

This has been on sale for around $400 for a while (55") and my review is based on that price.
I will keep this short. This TV is very solid as a $400 or so 55" TV if that is the budget that you want to stay within. For me I purchased open box excellent for $339 as a secondary TV for my bedroom at my parent's 2nd home that I visit often. For such a purpose I am very happy with it.
This is not a flagship TV, but again, while available at around $400 it is a really good deal and in my opinion the best consistently available for $400 option.

Why diid TCL raise the MSRP price on their 2020 5 & 6 Series models?
Best Buy is not the online retailer that raised their prices. But all of them did after you "TCL" raised your prices for the 5 & 6 2020 Series. You would think you would lower prices to get rid of inventory for the newer 2021 models. But thanks to you raising the prices of the 2020 models I have decided to go with a different brand.
