I must say Zach Snyder's version is so much better than Joss Whedon's hack job of a DC Superhero team up movie. Yes, this is 4 hours long, but they broke it up into multiple "chapters" so you can take breaks if needed while watching it. While the length of the movie is long it's not exhausting. I was pretty engaged and didn't feel like 4 hours had gone by after watching it.
This version is completely different from the 2017 film, there's a lot more to the story and well worth the watch. My only real complaint is that there is no digital copy included, so if you were planning to add this to you digital library you can forget it. Warner Bros. is going to make you subscribe to HBO max if you plan to stream this.
Besides that annoying money-grab of a move, I do think this is a great movie that should be part of your Blu-ray collection if you're a DC fan or just a fan of superhero movies in general. Definitely deserves the 5 stars I'm giving it!

Excellent value with very little compromise!

I purchased this during a black Friday sale and must say that for the price ($29.99 when purchased) this is an amazing value. I bought this to replace an aging 2017 era Roku Premiere 4K (non HDR version) which was starting to feel sluggish and not as responsive as it once did. The Streaming Stick 4K is much more compact (a dongle versus a countertop box) and can be plugged directly into the HDMI port so you don't even need an HDMI cable to use it. Having said that, I needed an HDMI extender cable, which is not included in the package. Roku does offer you that you can order one for free though, but if you ask me they should have just included it in the box. Other than that minor gripe, this is a really great value for the money, even at it's $49.99 retail price. Do try and get it though when on sale as the value is just way better.
Speaking of features and usability the Streaming Stick 4K offers the updated Roku enhanced remote (the mid tier model, aka the one without the always on mic and rechargeable battery) which can also control the power and volume controls on your TV. This is great because on one of the televisions I have uses the Roku as a pseudo cable box (we have Spectrum and use the Roku app) so not having to look for and use multiple remotes to control the TV is pretty nice. The UI is typical Roku, so if you've used a Roku in the past it's pretty much the same as before (NOT a bad thing!). If this is your first time using Roku just know the UI is pretty basic but again, that can be a good thing, especially for folks who may not be tech savvy.
All in all I'm giving this Roku 5 stars because of it's value overall. It's a typical Roku experience but for the money it's tough competition for the likes of Apple TV (of which I also own), especially when you can get the Apple TV+ app on Roku.
If you're looking for a streaming box/stick and are on a budget you can't go wrong with Roku!

I previously had the Symmetry case for the iPhone 11 and recently upgraded to the iPhone 13. I figured since I've had the same case for the 11 and liked it I would get the Symmetry case for the 13. So far the case has been very useful and has protected my phone from damage due to accidental drops. My only complaints are the price (it's a little expensive for a phone case) and that I wish the case was slightly grippier. This case I believe has an anti-microbial coating on it so that could be the issue but I thought I would share anyway.
This is still a solid case and it's thin and light body is strong enough to provide ample protection for your phone. I would definitely recommend this case!

Solid upgrade from iPhone 11

I recently upgraded to the iPhone 13 from my 2 year old iPhone 11. While there was nothing wrong with my iPhone 11 (I ended up giving it to a family member to replace their old 1st gen iPhone SE) I really wanted to take advantage of the $100 sale on the iPhone 13 from T-Mobile. This is my first iPhone with 5G and an OLED display and it has not disappointed me yet. It's also slightly lighter than my iPhone 11 and feel slightly narrower (The flat sides defiantly help the phone feel more "svelte" in the hand).
I had considered getting the 13 Mini, but I really couldn't see myself switching from the 11 which has a 6.1 inch display (just like the 13), to the 13 Mini, which has a 5.4 inch display and the same battery life as the 11 (the 13 gets around 2 hours more battery life than both the 11 and 13 Mini). If you're considering an iPhone and don't need the "pro" series then the iPhone 13 is the way to go!

BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT BUY OPEN BOX ONLINE!!!

Before I start I must emphasize that this is NOT a review of the iPad Pro itself but rather a review of Best Buy's Open Box deals. Images included for reference and proof. With that said, onto the "review", or rather PSA...
On June 9th I purchased the 2020 iPad Pro 11 1TB model as an open-box purchase. I did this because even with the student deal coupon added (a $150 discount), the iPad Pro was going to cost me $1099. Not a bad price by any means for last year's model with 1TB of storage. But... Under "Buying Options", I spotted a real deal (or what I thought was a real deal). The 1TB model was available in "Open Box - Excellent" condition for $899.99. This was too good to pass up! I checked to make sure I understood what BB's definition of "Excellent" condition meant BEFORE buying, and when I agreed with their definition I pulled the trigger and bought it. The item was shipped out the next day and it would take about a week to get to me. Fair enough since I went with free shipping.
Fast forward to Jun 16th, the day it arrived. I get the package via UPS, and when I picked it up to bring inside I noticed the box was very light... OK, I know its a newer iPad and they are very thin but this is REALLY light for a tablet and it's included accessories! I go and I carefully open the box as to not damage anything, and when I open the flaps I see that there is a sheet of bubble wrap and what appears to be the iPad, naked (not in ANY sort of box or protective packaging) resting on another sheet (maybe it was 2) of bubble wrap. There were no barriers to protect the iPad from hitting the inside of the box (and therefore the outside surface of whatever the box was landing on when being moved around). The iPad was covered in some sort of dust, as if it had been sitting in a dust-infested environment for a long time. Underneath the iPad was a little bag with a wall charger from LG supposedly that had a USB-A port and a USB-C to USB-A cable. Apple's chargers for the iPad Pro have USB-C on both the charger AND cable, no USB-A.
While the screen appeared to be intact with just that layer of dust on it I then took the iPad out of the box and turned it over to examine the back. The back had what I would describe as a blemish or deep scratches in one spot and some scratches on the camera bump. THIS IS NOT CONSIDERED "EXCELLENT" CONDITION! EVEN BEST BUY'S OWN DESCRIPTION SAYS AS MUCH! The condition of this iPad was definitely closer to Best Buy's "Fair" or "Satisfactory" condition, but that is not what I paid for.
There is a happy ending at the end of this however. I went and printed up my receipt and on the receipt it does show "Open Box - Excellent" as the condition I purchased. I took the iPad and everything that came with it (the box, bubble wrap and bag with the cable and charger) back to my local Best Buy and they accepted the return when they saw what I purchased versus what actually showed up. Unfortunately I could not get the iPad 1 TB in store as they were out of it, but I ended up buying the new model anyway because Apple is having a promotion which saved me on Applecare+.
The moral of this story is: Be careful when buying anything "Open Box" online. If you're at the store and they can show the item to you before you buy that's one thing, but if the price for something open box in "excellent" condition online is too good to be true then it probably is.

To be totally transparent, I am only reviewing the clock features as I do not use the Google Assistant. Also, I bought this on sale for $24.99. Read below for my review.
Recently I needed to replace a 25+ year old Alarm clock that I used to display the time in my office, as it has finally died. I was looking all over for an atomic clock that would give me accurate time and maybe some modern additional info such as weather and what day it is, etc. The clocks I came across weren't too good. In most cases the time would start as accurate but somehow move faster or slower. Displays weren't too good as they would display poorly based on your position, and in most cases they have to be set manually (including DST). To add insult to injury, the Atomic powered clocks seemingly can't be near other electronics, as it interferes with the atomic signal. This is problematic when you're placing it in an office full of other electronics!
While I was on Bestbuy.com I decided to see what alarm clocks they have. One of the first items to pop up was the Lenovo Smart Clock Essential. The basic design displayed EXACTLY what I was looking for: Time, whether AM or PM, Temp, along with small icon to describe the weather, and what day it is. The nice surprise is that unlink in the marketing image where the clock shows 07:10 AM, the time on the actual clock reads more traditionally as 7:10 AM. Since this clock is only used for displaying time and other information I needed to be able to mute the built in mic. Thankfully Lenovo uses a physical switch in the back that when activated displays a small muted Mic icon on the screen. The Amazon Echo line uses a button that then turns the LED ring on the echo red to indicate the mic is Muted. Let's just say I like Lenovo/ Google's method better in this case as it is far less distracting.
As I said above I cannot comment on the Google Assistant features but as a "smart" clock display that sets the time itself and gets it's display data from google, it is an excellent choice! I purchased this when it was on sale for $24.99, but I imagine it is worth every penny of it's $49.99 retail price tag once you factor in the Google Assistant features.
I did need to download the Google home app and connect this to my google account. Set up was relatively straight forward as I followed the in-app prompts. Once fully set up the clock manages itself for the most part. If you're looking for a smart clock that maintains itself this is a really great buy, especially when you can get it on sale! I Imagine if I used the Google Assistant Features I'd likely give this 5 stars. But for now, just a "smart" clock display for me!

Honestly I wasn't as excited for this one as I was suicide squad but Margot Robbie still rocks as Harley and the movie itself was overall good. I think the title may have caused some confusion with moviegoers who aren't familiar with Harley Quinn, not to mention the movie was still in theaters when the Pandemic hit so it probably couldn't pull in more at the box office due to theaters closing.
The movie is action packed and Margot Robbie shines as the titular anti-hero. If you love Harley Quinn, or DC in general this should be a no brainer to add to your collection.

This collection is wonderful, and it's the only way you can get the first 4 Batman films in steelbook form! It comes in a tin with the 4 films encased in their steelbooks that are surrounded by retaining foam. Artwork is top notch, but mine showed up with a mild ding in the main tin. Not a big deal but I wasn't able to get a replacement at the time. The movies look great in 4K and this is one of those collections that you simply should not ignore if you are a fan of the early Batman films (at least the two Tim Burton movies, lol).

I wish I could say that I loved this one but honestly I didn't. I would say get this one if you are collecting the movies to display on your shelf, otherwise I'd skip it. It isn't that the movie is horrible or anything, it just didn't live up to the hype. It didn't have that big finsh I think I (and many others) were looking for from Marvel and Fox, especially since this was the last X-Men film to be released by 20th Century Fox now that Disney owns them.
This is OK at best, but I wouldn't buy this movie again knowing what I do now. Like I said, if you collect the steelbooks and you have the other films then get this, otherwise skip it.

Sonic is one of those movies that both parents and kids will love. Parents will enjoy it for the memories it will envoke of playing the game in our youth, and kids will love it for the fun adventure it offers. Also, parents will appreciate Jim Carey as Robotnik (he slays in the role!).

It looks like iPhone 15 will include USB-C instead of Lightning this year and I suspect that if you're planning to upgrade you'll get lossless vis a USB-C connection that way.
