This did not work on my older TV, which only has a USB 2.0 port. If I plug it in, the lights blink on and off. Remote did not appear to work. I tried plugging it into a connector plug on my surge protector, but the same thing happened.
It does not say anywhere in the description or specifications on the website that it will not work unless your TV has a USB 3.0 port. The directions that came with it says it "may flicker" if not connected via a USB 3.0 port.

The lighting only requires power. USB versions are for data standards. No data is transferred with these lights. If it blinks on and off then that means there isn't enough power provided at your USB port or it is a service port only. Unfortunately a lot of older TVs only have service USBs and/or USB ports that don't provide enough power. I'm not sure why your surge port wouldn't power it, unless it doesn't provide enough power either. Most standard phone adapters will power this just fine.

I purchased this as a first subwoofer. Having never had one before I read a good number of online reviews and found that this model was a good balance between price and performance.
The product was very easy too et up. I was concerned at first that the box may have shipped without a power cord but eventually found it very well hidden under all the packing styrofoam. The controls seem easy to understand but when you orient the speaker to play forward the controls are not he bottom and somewhat hard to adjust. Not the end of the world but something I will need to get used to.
The room I am using it in is 15 by 15 with stone floors and it works very nicely. I have it set at about 50% volume and it fills the room nicely. I have paired it with my Boston Acoustic speakers and tried it with my Kef speakers in a second room and been very happy with both.

It's a down-firing subwoofer. You don't need the "speaker" to face toward you. Why do you think the legs are on the same side of the box as the sub?

I love this dryer!! We had our last one for 12 years and it was the cheapest of the cheap model back then. I use to have to run the dryer twice to get them dry and a half of a basket of clothes would barely fit in it.
This new Maytag dryer is amazing!! I love how fast it dries my clothes and I love that it senses when they are dry and will shut off. I also love that there's a light in the dryer!! I didn't know then when we purchased it! To my surprise when I first used it I noticed it. You don't think about those kinds of things and how helpful they really are until you have them! This dryer exceeded my expectations!! Well done Maytag!

It is, in fact, a 43".... wide screen TV. Not 43" wide. Way to lower the rating based on an experience rather than the actual quality of the TV. It's unfortunate that the experience was user error.
