Purchased for my daughter. It performs all the functions she needs, and is easy to use. We did not purchase the color graphics. This model has been more than adequate

The Insignia 3.1 cu. ft. Retro Mini Fridge with Top Freezer blends style and functionality. Its small stature perfectly complements a basement, office, or dorm room. A dedicated crisper drawer is perfect for helping you preserve fruits and vegetables while adjustable shelving lets you to organize everything just the way you like it. A separate freezer compartment gives you .9 cu ft of storage space for your favorite frozen treats.

Should this fridge have a cover in the back to cover the insides of the fridge? I just noticed that everything is exposed in the back (see photo) There was no backing to cover the bottom of the back

I don't have the fridge in front of me- is in my daughter's dorm room, but I believe it is the same as yours. I think this is the way it is supposed to be.
