Great Smartwatch, Amazing Deal

This is a great product if you’re comfortable in the Apple ecosystem, as they require an iPhone to set up the Apple Watch. I believe that once set up, limited functionality is available to Android users or even independent of a smartphone.
Setup is straightforward. The included silicone sports band is comfortable, but if you prefer a different band there are dozens of colors and styles available through retailers and online auction sites.
With only a couple fewer features than the new Series 5 Apple Watch, the extended Black Friday / Cyber Monday $250 discount on the 40 mm stainless steel watch and $300 discount on the 44mm size was an incredible deal.

I’m posting this review “early”, because as a Christmas gift, the watch is still unopened.
I am greatly optimistic that the device will perform admirably, but if it doesn’t, I’ll update this review.
Shout out to Best Buy for an amazing pre-Black Friday doorbuster: $399 for a stainless steel GPS + Cellular Apple Watch. It may not be the current generation, but it has 99% of the features for a much better price.

Nice quality surge suppressor. We have a couple dozen of these in use and so far none have suffered damage through our frequent power fluctuations.
The USB power ports are a handy feature.
The only drawback is that the outlets are “tight”—inserting plugs into the outlets can take considerable effort, which can be an issue if you’re crawling under a desk or working at an awkward angle. On the other hand, they’re not likely to come unplugged accidentally.
