To be honest, this was not my dream oven. But quality for the price and it matching with the other new appliances made it a contender. My only complaint is that the controls located at the back of the stovetop get dirty, as expected. Which is why I prefer the knobs to be in front. I am also leery that the markings which show low to high will eventually be washed off with repeat cleaning. I still have not found the best way to clean splatter off the screen without turning on the oven, timer, lights etc. but I knew this would be an issue when I bought it. But the oven itself is beautiful - and we really use our appliances.

Stainless is a cleaning nightmare so I liked this

I like the look of stainless but it is not very practical in a kitchen full of budding chefs. However, I liked this model because the prints were less noticeable and seemed to clean off easier. The only disappointment so far is that the metal trim on the edges of the shelving units dents at the slightest touch, leaving a noticeable nick. And we were very 'delicate' with our 'new' appliance. But the first night we noticed a couple of nicks probably caused by the milk carton. Seriously, the edges of shelves should be made of cast iron -lol because you know that they will get abuse. So far that is the only negative.

The printer set up fairly quickly. It is my first Brother printer so I was not sure how well the setup would go with all my HP products. The main tipping point was the INK tastic technology. And the 3 sets of cartridges that came with the printer. The cost of replacement ink for my HP and Epson printers really started
to bother me - replacing all the inks with backup cartridges was costing me more than a new printer. And I print quite a lot. So far so good with the Brother. I did not want an all-in-one, but that is all that you seem to be able to buy now. I just wanted a good printer. It is too early to tell how well the ink-tastic technology will work in the long term, but I am hopeful. I will append later as I gain more experience with this model.

Phone photos are fine, but there is nothing like having a print copy. The Canon Selphy 1300 makes quick work of getting the photos off the phone and onto print. My son uses the prints to show other kids about his adventures around town for school and it is so easy to use.

Usually I do not look forward to swapping out routers and modems since invariably you are down for a day or two while you get back all the things to work on line. Not overly techie so I appreciate when something is close to plug and play. We swapped out the modem cause we plan on upgrading the router as well with a booster - streaming videos and the kids learning software (online) were rather slow so we needed to upgrade - we have the best cable service we can get out here but computers on the 2nd and 3rd floors were a bit dogged despite being relatively new models. Phase 1 swapping out the modem went without a hitch and no downtime.... noticed some improvement in computer performance. So far so good.

Our first flat screen which got moved to the bedroom finally bit the dust so we needed a replacement that would fit the available wall space and make the most of the comcast cable connection. This TV was recommended. The install went well and we are happy so far. I was able to connect to the internet and watch GSN (Genesis Science Network) - a bonus. The only issue is that we were spoiled by the Comcast remote which lights up so you can see what buttons you are pushing without having to turn on the lights. Handy since now there are 50+ buttons to contend with... Otherwise, no complaints so far.
