A good deal for the price

Good projector for the price. Solidly made. Needs to be in a dark environment. Worked fine with my MacBook Air, but I don’t think there’s a possible connection to the audio since the air only has two of the same output. The screen is OK unless you compare it to anything else, the shingles on my house did a better job of providing a more colorful sharper image and they are peach colored And not flat. I think a decent screen would cost as much as the projector. The screen that comes with it is like a thin t-shirt that stretches. Maybe white permanent press sheet would do a better job. Though you can get 100 inch diagonal image(about 8 foot 3 x 4‘ three), smaller is better if you like brighter colors in a sharper image.

I found this to be better than expected. Extremely lightweight, easy to carry around. When you open it boots up automatically reasonable size screen without being too large. Battery life lasts all day for sure. It has only two ports so that seems like a limitation. Quick transfer of data to external drives.
The only really limitations is the Mac operating system that explains itself in detail and labels everything, but despite that you can’t understand what the implications of what you choose would actually be and you have to make a choice.

Amusing, but not really that useful

If you don’t wire the doorbell you can only hear the doorbell at the doorbell which isn’t very useful for you. So you can buy an Amazon echo but you don’t want it in your bedroom because it lights up constantly all night long and watches you. They don’t sell a spare speaker instead you have to buy an indoor camera I don’t need an indoor camera watching me in my bedroom just so I can hear my doorbell when I’m on the second floor with the air conditioning on. Also the doorbell has its limitations and that you can tip it left and right With their included device but you can’t Tip it up and down. So you can’t control for tall people peoples walking up your steps so they are lower than the vision. If you live near a street which most people do every car going bye sets it off and less you block out that section in my case I had to block out all but five out of 25 otherwise it would constantly set off. They have a 5% angle wedge which seems like it would do me no good. The delay is such that the person leaves your house before you get the message they were there. It actually works perfectly except not for the purposes you would’ve bought it. I’m guessing other video doorbells have very similar problems.

Mighty devices. How you place them is crucial

It’s a good product. But I had to hardwire the first link because I have an old house. It took hours to drill through two floors Figure out where I could hide the wiring. Devices have to be plugged in electric even if you’re going wireless, which can make it very difficult to place them in the exact position they are needed, particularly in an old house. I’m guessing you could buy longer cabling to a wall outlet. Though my service is 100 100 Mb per second, I’m getting independent readings of about 400 and some places. So I’m impressed.

It has beautiful photographs that it’s displays among other irrelevant blinking information. I’m not sure what it’s meant to do. I bought it because I bought a ring doorbell. Delay is enough that the person at the disappears. I thought the doorbell would ring and I would see on the screen who was there but that’s not the case I have to wait and then I have to choose it, sometimes randomly it comes up in a small window and I have to expand it to see anything. I’m not sure what the purpose of this is. I was going to put it in my bedroom so I could hear the doorbell but The screen continuously shifts and lights up so it would keep me awake all night. Alexa doesn’t know much so she’s very helpful if you want to know the time or the weather and she will let you know if your packages have been delivered other than that I’m not sure what the purposes it’s a very expensive toy. The screen is high-quality and the photographs are gorgeous other than that she’s not that bright except if you’re trying to sleep

Nice people but they have a little information. When no one shows up to your appointment they have no idea what happened or whether anybody’s coming. They are someone sets up new appointments that you don’t even know about your they even cancel appointments do you have but don’t tell you. They give you different answers and send you millions of texts and emails most of which contradict each other and they keep sending you to the site where you try to figure out why you’re there and where the information is. I paid for total check because it made my whole purchase cheaper and when they came to install I had to pay $475 extra for things they said I needed. I have no idea how my purchase that was $2000 ended up costing me 3000

I’ve never seen a company make so many mistakes

They scheduled and rescheduled of the six appointments they brought a broken machine, the installer showed up at the machine did not, they didn’t show up at all and didn’t call they brought a dented machine, the machine had problems and then they didn’t show up at all and didn’t call. And one time a plumber showed up for an hour to prove that the machine was broken. I told them not to show up anymore I was exhausted of six times waiting about five hours each. I don’t normally get up at 6:30 in the morning but they only had morning appointments. No one who came actually understood how the machine worked and could answer my questions I got wrong information the manual had wrong information in it. You have to babysit this machine it has four cycles you have to do once a month to keep it clean so it won’t ruin your clothes, then on the phone they told me it was one special cycle with special detergent or your clothes would turn black or green or they continue to set appointments for me even though I told them not to they told me they were coming on Saturday mornings that I never agreed to their cancel button didn’t work they sent me literally 50 texts and 50 emails all about appointments and problems and yet they did not fix anything. Most of the people are very nice but they don’t know what they need to know to do the job. The machine I got has only certain cycles and you can’t do what you want do you have to go sign up on the Internet to get the pre-wash cycle. You have to dry your clothes on hot unless you choose a delicate cycle most of the time you can’t get into your clothes and you can’t stop and add clothes without knowing the secret to draining the tub or you have to wait eight minutes which they don’t really tell you. If you don’t dry out the deep rubber tubing each time they guarantee you it will mold in your clothes will smell bad. I paid for the total tech to make things easier and all they did was call me 1 million times and text me and email me constantly contradicting themselves. I had no laundry for a month during which time they left the tower in the middle of my kitchen so I could barely open my refrigerator door.  They seem to be very used to things going wrong. They were not surprised to hear that people just didn’t show up and didn’t call after waking me up early in the morning for an appointment I didn’t really want from 7 to 1pm the morning. I was on the phone so many times with them and at my house waiting for appointments but if I had a job I would have lost it six times over.

It’s quiet and it handles a lot of clothes, but I still can’t get any hot water out of it even though the machine was replaced. They attempted to deliver five times and it took three weeks to get my second machine. It says it does everything but you have to choose options that limit you and you have to try to work around them. It takes forever to do laundry. One can experiment but it took me 5 1/2 hours to do two loads. That seems quite excessive. You have to babysit the machine because it needs to go on a special cycle every month with special detergent otherwise I was told your clothes will come out black or green. You have to wipe out the machine and the door seal which is deep every single time. The manual I was given I was told was not the current one even though I just bought it and that I should ignore a number of maintenance requirements and only do certain ones that are different than what’s in the book. I don’t know that they’ll post this because everywhere I look at gets a 4.7 and I can’t imagine how I would prefer my 20 year old machines where I had control and could have a rinse cycle or could easily drain the water out of the tub if it became necessary. Good luck. I chose this because I have a narrow space and they were only two options. All the people at Best Buy have been very nice and I’ve tried to help.

Just wanted to add Call and I tried the audio output from my Mac to the projector. No results. Maybe it needs an amplifier of some kind or converter but there’s no directions about that or maybe it just can’t be done

Sound, is the sound quality good? Or will a sound bar be needed?
I couldn’t tell you. Make sure you have a sound output which would work with the inputs that are available. I think there’s only a small round input, I don’t think most laptops have that kind of Jack anymore. Maybe there’s a converter. My laptop is loud enough so that I’m not investigating any further. I tried using my laptop sound with a speaker but the sound wasn’t fully synchronized with the projector, so the Speaking wasn’t in sync.

Can you use in an outdoor environment?
It needs to be very dark out. Carefully you’ll get a better screen, one that rolls, not Folds. I suspect a good screen would cost as much is the projector, though maybe there are some cheaper that would work better. The screen does work, but the image is not as sharp as it could be nor colorful as it could be and it is transparent so sometimes you can see what’s behind it

What material is the bonus screen? Can it be left outside ?
Very thin, something like a polyester blend. I would not leave it outside. It comes wrinkled and stretches quite a bit. It is transparent so that under some circumstances you can see what’s behind it and it can be distracting. I think it would be fine if you just want to project graphics. It works for a movie but if you want to get immersed in the movie you would need How much better screen and preferably more lumens

I see from other answered questions here that the lumens and contrast ratio for this projector are 280 and 500:1 respectively. How do these numbers compare with the same specs for the Vankyo V630W? I’m trying to choose between the two projectors. Thanks.
I don’t know about the exact lumens, but more would be better. This version needs to be in the dark to get a good image. Also, a higher quality screen would make a lot of difference. I am projecting smaller to get a sharper more colorful image. The T-shirt screen will work, probably fine for graphics, but for movies more lumens and a better screen would be a great improvement.

Is the bottom door some type of over as well? In the photos it appears they are cooking something in the small drawer at the bottom.
That’s the broiler as it is on most gas ovens. I am surprised at how shallow the space there is there. You use one of the oven shelves to put your broiler pan on. It took twice as long to cook a chicken breast (45 mins. )As it did in my 20 year old oven and if the chicken had been any thicker it would not have fit in there at all. I really don’t understand design of this broiler but the chicken came out well
