A 4K television set has about the optimum resolution for home use. The question becomes how far away will you be seated when viewing the TV., as that pretty well determines the size of the TV set you should get. Mine is in a den and I view the picture from 4-6 ft. Any further away I cannot take full advantage of the set's resolution because my eyes are only capable of resolving details from certain distances. Any closer and the actual structure of the picture begins to become visible. If your eyesight is not impaired you can actually see the difference between HD (2K) and a 4K picture, if you are close enough. My suggestion is that a 42-43" 4K TV is the smallest size to consider (any less would require viewing too close for comfort). The largest size should take into account your expected distance from the set (experiment in a TV shop to find your comfortable distance from a 4K screen while still being able to see the 4K improvement in the picture - and, of course, the difference in cost). Somewhere in there is the best solution for you. My own new 4K TV, in addition to resolution, has a much improved color gamut and contrast capability.

We really like this Rocketfish system. There weren't any reviews when we bought but this is the second one we've had (already have one for our bonus room) and we love them. The wireless part basically means that you can put the speakers behind your sofa when and not have the rear speakers wired to the front, across the room, so it is not a true wireless speaker system. You still will have speaker wire to the speakers, and the rear speakers will be connected to the smaller box, if that makes sense. We like this because we were able to plug it into our tuner and use our existing, nonbluetooth speaker system.
We have an outlet installed under our couch so you can see from the pic that we have the wire behind the couch.
In our bonus room upstairs, with the same layout, you cannot see anything because the couch is up against the wall.

Great connectivity. Powerful audio. 7.1 setup was a breeze with the microphone. Gone or the days when I had to balance the speakers individually with a sound pressure lever meter. the 4K pass through is ideal.
I was frustrated that the receiver kept shutting down every time I used my 4K DVD player. It was getting overloaded for some reason even with moderate volume. After many frustrating days, I discovered that my right front speaker connection had become loose and that caused the calibration to go out of balance for that channel. Keep that in mind if this happens to you.
The only issue I have is that the receiver does not accept banana plug speaker connections. Other than that this is a gem.

Bought this one because the integrated WiFi on my wife's laptop was dying. Has no problems getting a strong signal on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands from my router anywhere in the apartment. It's speedy for internet downloads and streaming, no complaints there. It's very tiny so it doesn't look too out of place when it's plugged in her laptop, which now is almost permanently. Would like to see a small device like this but with a USB 3.0 interface.
One minor complaint is that the drivers have a typo... when you plug this in and Windows configures it, it's reported as a "Wieless" adapter. Seriously, Asus? I went into the registry myself and fixed all the instances where it was misspelled, so it doesn't bother me now.

The Samsung HW-K550 3.1 Channel 340 Watt Wireless subwoofer packs the extra bass and extra clarity that my picky ears were looking for. Having had surround sound for the last 20 years I have become really spoiled in having great sound when watching television. I just bought a new Samsung 4K UDH 8 series and I couldn't just have the television speakers, I needed the extra sound. I wanted something compact, easy to hook up (both are Samsung, which helps), minimal amount of wires and economical to vastly improve the television sound. I compared this one to the Samsung HW-KM45C HW-K450 2.1 Channel 300W Soundbar w/ Wireless Subwoofer from a local retailer, and this one definitely added the little extra that I was looking for. Both are great products, there is nothing wrong with HW-KM45C and it is a little cheaper, but for those of you who are looking for something that's not super pricey, mid ranged, and has that little extra that hits the sweet spot in the ear, the HW-K550 is a great product. As with all these products, there is always a vast range of prices and technology, which I find rather overwhelming. I just found this one great for my ears, pocketbook and ease of connecting it to the television.

I've struggled for ages with bluetooth keyboards for ipads. and aside from the slight inconvenience of having to charge those other devices and constantly having to reconnect them, the keyboard lagged so bad. I actually took a video one time of me typing at a relativ3ly normal pace for about a minute and then showing how long it took for all the letters to appear on the screen. at least 3 times as long.
that being said, the smart connector keyboard is brilliant. it is literally the same speed as if I were on my laptop. It so much feels like my laptop, that sometimes I reach for the trackpad instead of the touchscreen.
I appreciate that it also acts as a case. slightly wish I could have more stand angles but its not that big of a deal.

Best iPad I’ve owned

This is so far the best and most advanced iPad that I have ever owned. As a brief history I have owned the iPad mini 3 and the iPad 5th generation. The new A12 chip makes this iPad so fast and fluid and is honestly more power than I will ever need in my day to day use of this product. I love that this iPad has a fully laminated display it makes reading on it so much better and of course it eliminates that annoying air gap that is on the budget iPad 5th and 6th gen. Another of the great features of this iPad is the True Tone display that adjusts the display to the lighting conditions of the room your in. This makes it much easier on your eyes when your using the iPad and it’s effects are in my opinion most notable when reading. The battery life on this iPad is excellent and the A12 chip is to thank for that since it’s very efficient, with how much I use it I can go for days on a single charge though of course your mileage will vary based on use and other settings. The mini definitely falls into an odd market as it has the same specs as the new iPad Air just in a much smaller form factor, so I’d definitely recommend the mini if you’ve got an older iPad and want to upgrade without breaking the bank and don’t mind the smaller form factor or even prefer your iPads in a more portable form. Also if your looking to buy an iPad for the first time and you want one that isn’t exactly a budget model but at the same time you don’t want to spend the kind of money it takes to get a pro model then the mini 5 might just be for you. I’m in the camp of people that prefer this smaller form as it’s easier to port around and if you read books on it it’s not going to tire your arm out like the larger models. The mini definitely has a viable market even in 2019 and I believe is worth a look if your curious about how an iPad of this size compares to the much larger versions that Apple sells.

I love this product. It was a little tricky at first but I did figured out that what I needed to do was to put the rubber gasket on the back of my dryer first and the the end of the hose and same for the pipe going up the the ceiling. I have one of those stackable washer/dryer combo. This is how the hookup is in my apartment. We had a remodel done to our place and they really messed up my other hose so I had to get a new one so I choose this and I really wished I had found this product way sooner. I love how after hooking this up that the hose hangs nicely and doesn't get crushed like the old one and everything was pretty simple and didn't take forever to hookup to do like my first hose did. I definitely would buy this again if need be.

Very Thick and Does the Trick

This is a nice, thick and heavy cord for newer 240V dryer outlets. I wired this up to a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer, model WED5500XW0 and it went in without a hitch. There was not really a place for the included strain relief clamp, so I clamped it in a place that would keep the cord away from the sheet metal.
The cable itself is very thick with what looks like 10 gauge wiring covered by a thick layer of rubber insulation. It feels substantial in the hands.
