Top notch flagship phone

I've been an iPhone users for several generations but opted to try out this Samsung for a different change of pace.
I won't get into the iOS/Android debacle here. I've used both extensively and, yes, each have their pros and cons. From a phone perspective, this Fold7 has all the bells and whistles. It's a folding phone, large screen, smaller exterior screen and just overall a nifty little conversation starter.
You'll get lots of looks with this phone that's for sure. Does a great job at grabbing attention of passers by and whoever the owner is. Very functional and probably a step above what most people need in all honestly. That said, the phone is fast and nearly lag free. Plenty of space for your files and the folding screen allows you all the real estate you need in phone.

I used to be a big fan of Otterbox cases but not this time around. Fit of this case was pretty poor. Did not line up with some of the ports on the bottom of the phone. Also, the camera bump not being completely covered is of concern for this case. Seems Otterbox is just trying to cover as little as possible now with these cases.

Great way to "bring along" your older earbuds/headphones to newer USB-C world. I had a pair of Skullcandys that I've used forever and wanted to use with them with my iPhone 17 Pro Max. This cable is perfect for that and now I'm able to listen to my earbuds just like in the old days

The OEM cable that came with my PSU died on me and I needed a new 12VHPWR ASAP. I have a MicroCenter nearby however they were out of stock. Best Buy was the only store near me that had them in stock. Win for Best Buy. After the setup, everything is working fine now in my PC.

I have an older truck with bluetooth however it's kind of spotty at best. Really would like to use my iPhone in there for music and such but the cheap bluetooth receivers/transmitters I see are pretty poor quality for the cheap ones.
Came across this one as I've been a Rexing dash cam user for quite a while. This thing works pretty well. Able to use my iPhone 16 Pro Max in my truck more consistently now thanks to this. Sound quality is OK but the signal strength is what I'm most impressed with. Pretty much have good connection with this. My other bluetooth transimitters/receivers cut out once every 10-15 seconds. This one seems more stable for me.

Perfect setup for older car stereo

Been looking for someway to get a more stable Bluetooth connection to my iPhone and this one seems to fit the bill nicely. I've used those cheaper BT dongles and they always seemed to be really iffy on the connection. As such, I'd lose connection to my Bluetooth dongle pretty routinely. I just want to listen to the music on my iPhone through my car stereo...that's it. I have an old 2012 F150 so the stereo could be a lot nicer. This little thing "upgrades" my stereo reliably without needing to add on any other components and such.
The unit is pretty tiny so it's convenient to store/carry around if need be. I plan on mounting it somewhere on the console with some double sided tape just to keep it out of the way. Comes with both USB-A and USB-C cables to fit your needs.
Overall, really happy this thing allows me to listen to my music AND have a decent, steady Bluetooth connection while in my truck

Otterbox missed the mark on this one

Big fan of Otterbox since the iPhone 6. Had a Defender XT for my 14 PM and loved it. Removed it from the case a couple days ago and still looks brand new. Figured I's stick with them for my 16 PM and was greatly disappointed.
To accommodate the new camera button, they just took a chunk out of the side of the case. This leaves part of the phone completely vulnerable and open to scratches/dings/etc. Figured they would've come up with a better way to resolve this. Even some of the cheaper cases have a thin piece of plastic that's slightly beveled so you can use the button while still offering some protection to the case. Not sure if this was just them rushing a product out to market just for revenue but this is a really poor solution here.

My older RGB mousepad finally bit the bullet so I needed a replacement. I opted to not go with RGB this time around and just wanted something simple but still a large size. I'm a fan of Corsair as a lot of my PC components are Corsair so I figured why not get a Corsair mousepad?
Nothing really fancy about this one TBH. It's nice a large and has enough space for my keyboard and mouse with room to actually use the mouse.
Fortunately, I haven't spilled anything on the mousepad so can't really attest to the spill proofedness of this but the material feels nice and my mouse easily glides over it.

Nice upgrade from my previous dash cam

Nice upgrade for me and really nice dash cam for any first time owner.
The 4k is what got my attention with this. My old one was 1080p and the video quality was ok but I wanted something a little more hi def and this was the one I landed on.
There is no rear camera with this setup so only the front and cabin are recorded. Comes with everything you need to get setup including a microSD card, cigarette charger and the smart hardware wire for cleaner install and always on capability.
Video quality on this is right on par with what I was hoping/expecting. Still need to setup the hard wire since this dash cam is USB-C and my older one was MicroUSB. Once setup though, it'll look nice and clean.

Microwaving has evolved! When it comes to everything you expect in a microwave, nothing compares with the defrosting, cooking, and reheating capability of the new Cyclonic Wave. At every temperature level, Cyclonic Wave circulates heat in precision, ultra-efficient 3D waves for easier, more versatile food preparation, even with denser, more complex food textures. This exceptional microwave also includes patented Inverter Technology. Unlike traditional microwaves that rely on pulse-on, pulse-off power at lower temperatures, Inverter Technology delivers a constant stream of cooking power at every temperature. The result? More evenly cooked meals ~ edges to centers ~ every time. Put together, Cyclonic Wave with Inverter Technology provides the fastest, most efficient way to enjoy perfectly prepared snacks, sides, and meals across a broader range of cooking techniques, while also maintaining more of the natural nutrients and flavor you want. It's the ultimate combination by Panasonic!

Powerful and stylish microwave
By LouRevue from Washington, DC
I'm a terrible cook so I pretty much eat food cooked in a microwave all the time. I previously had a smaller, low power microwave. It did the trick but wasn't the greatest due to it's small size and low power. It was a 0.7 cubic foot, 900 watt microwave. Needless to say, this one is significantly larger and more powerful. Just from this alone, it took a bit getting used to. Normally, with my older microwave, if I was cooking something that said to cook it for 3 minutes, I'd have to cook it for 5 in my older microwave. This habit is kind of hard to break.
This Panasonic Prestige Plus is pretty much the last (hopefully) microwave I'll ever need. It's powerful and I can put much larger leftover bowls. Cooking time is much less now since this is a 1250 watt microwave. This thing cooks quite evenly which my older microwave did not. Cooking soup or TV dinners, the food is evenly cooked however I noticed the bowl gets much hotter than before. I managed to defrost some steaks as well which went pretty smoothly. My older microwave couldn't even do this.
To be honest, this thing has so many features that I haven't even been able to use them all. It's quite robust in that respect so this is more than just a microwave in my opinion. One of the drawbacks to this the touch panel. Most microwaves I've seen usually have some text on the buttons so you know what it does. This one does not. I had to read the instruction manual to figure out what the buttons do so, over time, I'll get the hang of it. Other thing to keep in mind is that this microwave is pretty big. It's almost twice the size of my older one so you'll need to have a large space to put this thing in. Fortunately, i have a stand alone cabinet which just happened to be big enough to place this thing on to.
While this isn't for most peoples needs, I think it;s a great appliance to have. For those people, like me, that use microwaves religiously, having a top end microwave really helps out in the long run.

Best headphones? Enter Player 3 – Jabra Elite 85h
By LouRevue from Washington, DC
Normally Jabra hasn’t been a key player in a headphone market recently dominated by Bose and Sony. Jabra’s recent wireless 65t earbuds though put them in contention for a new player in the headphones space. As far as wireless earbuds go, I think the 65t’s are one of the best all-around earbuds on the market currently. So, when these 85h over-the-ear headphones came out, I figured it was definitely something to check out, especially since these were being classed in the category as the Sony MX3s and Bose QC35s. Jabra says they’re better than the others but are they really?
To start, I own both the Sony MX3s and QC35s. Of the two, the MX3s are my favorite, overall, as they have better noise cancelling, sound and slightly better battery life; the added earcup controls are a nice little bonus as well. So, now it’s time to see how the 85h’s compare to the other two headphones.
IN THE BOX: You get the headphones in a very nice carrying case with a velvety interior, airplane adapter, 3.5mm cable (really short) and a USB-C charging cable (also really short).
FIT: Of the three headphones, the QC35 fit the best. While the 85h do fit well, they are a tad on the snug side for my tastes. That said, I’ve been wearing them for the past 3-4 hours and no discomfort at all. Also to note, I have a big head so pretty much all over-the-ear headphones are going to feel snug. With the other headphones, I usually have to extend the arms most of the way to get it fit well. These 85h’s I have to pull the arms out all the way just to get it to fit.
NOISE CANCELLING: The MX3’s win here. They do a fantastic job with ANC and block out a lot of exterior noise. The 85h’s, however, are a close second. With the snug fit of the headphones, the ANC does a pretty good job at blocking out external noises better than the Bose but not quite good as the Sony’s. I’d put the noise cancelling feature a very close second to MX3’s.
SOUND: MX3’s win here. The extra bass the Sony’s have add that stiff punch to bass notes that the Bose and Jabra just doesn’t have. Even with the EQ pumped up, there isn’t that oomph you want when listening to EDM, Hip-Hop, Metal, etc. However, if you listen to other types of music like vocal, instrumental, classical then the 85h are probably a better fit regarding sound. Aside from deep bass notes, the mids/highs are crisp and clear. Really depends on what type of music you listen to so it’s kind of a draw across the board in my opinion. Since I listen to more bass heavy music, the MX3 do it for me. With the Jabra app, you can fine tune the EQ to your liking and save presets as needed for your headphones. There is also an AI component to the sound where 4 of the 8 mics on the headphone pick up and analyze where you are and how noisy it is and switches the headphone setting to optimize sound and battery life. For example, if you’re at home and it’s quiet, it’ll shut off the noise cancelling. Or if you’re in a subway and it’s super noisy, it’ll switch the ANC on. There is also a hear-through setting where you can hear outside noises while playing your music. There is a similar feature on the MX3’s so it’s interesting and a nice feature.
BATTERY: Honestly, this really isn’t a huge factor for me. I believe the QC35’s have the lowest battery life and the MX3/85h tout 32+ hour battery life. I’ve never gotten any headphone down to more than 20% battery so, for me, this really isn’t an issue since all three are relatively the same in this aspect.
VOICE ASSISTANT: I don’t really use this feature on any device I have so it’s not a huge concern for me. However, with most headphones, you’ll either get compatibility with Alexa OR Google OR Siri but never all of them. The 85h allows you to use any of them depending on what device you’re paired to. You’re only able to setup the headphones with one assistant at a time however you’re not limited to having headphones only being compatible with Google Assistant or just Amazon Alexa. I’ve tested this with my iPhone XS Max and it works as expected. There are 8 mics on these headphones, 2 of which (I think) are dedicated to for the voice assistant feature. Just say Hey Alexa/Google/Siri and it works. No issues here so far.
ODDITIES: There’s no power button on these. Had to read the manual to find this out. Basically, you turn the earcups flat to turn them off. Not sure if I like this feature honestly. If you accidentally take your headphones off and hang them around your neck, the cups will kind of turn flat and you may shut off your headphones inadvertently. And if you’re like me and put your headphones on stands, the headphones will stay on.
There are three buttons on outside of the right earcup; volume up/down and play/pause button. The MX3 has a feature like this but are touch/swipe and that I do like. The 85h controls don’t seem quite as refined and seem like they were put there as an afterthought. I might get used to them over time however, for this feature, I prefer the MX3 implementation.
OVERALL: The 85h are a great set of cans for anyone looking to get an upgraded/higher end set of headphones. With the MX3/QC35 being in the $350 range, that might be a damper for most people looking to pick up new headphones. The 85h come in at $300 which might be a little easier to swallow. You can find the other two headphones slightly lower than retail however, the price point for the 85h should be a nice selling point. Considering that, the features and performance of the 85h are on par with the other two headphones. Might not be as good in one area compared to the others but I think they perform really well and are worth the buy if you’re in the market for a nice pair of higher end headphones.

If you can get the MX3’s l, go for those. If not, the 85h works just as well. Between all three headsets (MX3/QC35/85h), the 85h would be bottom of my list.

Is this clear surrounded by a black frame? What is the clear portion it made of? Does clear portion scratch like acrylic does? How about a photo of the "free holster" with kick stand after you purchase it... sent by mail?

The clear is nestled into the frame so it's a solid one piece build.

Dunno....regular plastic?

Doesn't scratch too easily however, it is plastic, so any sharp object will probably leave some marks.

If you buy the case from Otterbox, they'll include the holster along with your order. If you buy it here, usually there is a form on their website where you can claim one and have it mailed to you. Worst case, you'd need to contact their customer support and request the holster.

Defender Series Pro XT MagSafe phone case for the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max provides advanced defense for your device. Built-in magnets allow MagSafe chargers and accessories snap right to Defender Series Pro XT. The thin, rugged case integrates an antimicrobial additive that helps inhibit microbial growth and helps defend the case exterior against many common bacteria.* The premium design displays clean lines with a comfortable grip, the raised edges protect the camera and screen and port covers block dust and dirt. There~s even a lanyard attachment integrated into the case for easy carrying. Defender Series Pro XT provides the intense drop protection you need to defend your everyday. Model 77-89146.

Does this case include a form of screen protection? And if so would it effect the cases protection if I add a screen protector??

No built in screen protector.

I had already installed a glass screen protector before putting this case on and, I'll tell you, there is almost zero space around the case and edge of the screen protector. I'd recommend either getting one of those screen protectors that come with those plastic installation trays or just put the case on first and then drop the screen protector in afterwards.
