This is a suspense/thiller and murder-mystery independent film. Love the 80's nostalgia and overall theme of this movie. Young male characters (and one female crush) are likable (despite a lack of character development from parents and other authority figures). Although it is not as well known, I still prefer it over Super 8, Donnie Darko, and even IT (2017). On the A/V side, picture is sharp and dialogue and electro sounds are crisp and clear. If you search out indie films, then I recommend checking this one out.
FALLOUT Synopsis On a dangerous assignment to recover stolen plutonium, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) chooses to save his team over completing the mission, allowing nuclear weapons to fall into the hands of a deadly network of highly-skilled operatives intent on destroying civilization. Now, with the world at risk, Ethan and his IMF team (Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson) are forced to become reluctant partners with a hard-hitting CIA agent (Henry Cavill) as they race against time to stop the nuclear fallout. There's never been a threat more destructive, stunts so jaw-dropping in the film critics are calling Inchthe best Mission yet!Inch (Erik Davis, Fandango). 147 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English. Two-disc set.

My favorite M:I movie! (Second to it is M:I-3.) There is noticeable difference in color and detail over the Blu-Ray, especially for the sky diving scene and the end chopper and avalanche sequence. I highly recommend upgrading to this release for this reason. (They both have Dolby Atmos.)

I have owned JAWS on DVD (first digital 5.1 track), Blu-Ray (restoration) and now 4K. The steelbook design looks like the poster. (I'm not partial to steelbooks except for cover art.) A/V is the best available. I did find coloring to change (to some degree), but the most notable improvement over the recent Blu-Ray was contrast. That is significant for this type of film.
Upgrade your entertainment room with this Samsung soundbar. The 6.5-inch subwoofer and 1.5-inch tweeters deliver powerful well-balanced sound, and Bluetooth connectivity lets you stream audio wirelessly. This Samsung soundbar includes a remote control for handling playback easily, while the HDMI and USB ports allow for flexible connectivity to a wide range of devices.

I have this Samsung HW-Q60T hooked up to a Panasonic DP-UB420 4K UHD Blu-Ray player. The DTS:X output sounds terrific!!! Multiple environment/media settings and the bass can absolutely perform when needed. (Sometimes, it seems like being at the box office.)
However, Dolby Atmos tracks usually default to Dolby TrueHD 7.1 on my player which can be soft, less impressive than even a DTS Master Audio 5.1 can sound on the bar. (Note: This is NOT the soundbar for you if you MUST have Atmos.) Also, if I click the volume down on the remote too rapidly or hold it down for too long, the soundbar can mute itself (?). Because many 4K discs are going with Dolby Atmos as their tier sound format, please consider before buying.

The two main benefits that I get from this product are movies on demand and saving money (by cutting out unwanted programming). If you are thinking of "cutting the cord" but have a lot of programs which you are still devoted to on cable/satellite, then I wouldn't immediately switch over yet to streaming without some research (not at least before considering program availability, streaming devices and apps/channel options, and then ultimately any cost difference with switching).
Roku layout isn't for everybody (as with regular cable users accustomed to search guides), but then again, it isn't at all complicated either. (I find it comparable to most smart phones.) They are offering apps to make streaming to be more like watching tv (like XUMO and PlutoTV) to make transition to "cord-cutting" easier. (Tivo also has a product out now appealing to this, but it may be outside it's "promotion" sale and doesn't have all the features or apps and cannot do everything that I appreciate the Roku for.)
Concerning this Roku, I think picture quality is great (even on the HOME menu)! The concealed HDMI stick design work well for my wall mount and TV. I live in a rural area and connectivity is still good. (This model has a dual band. If you are wondering about different Roku models, then certainly look into this.) Battery life and size on the remote could be better or improved. However, I was aware of the size of the remote prior to my purchase. Plus, voice-command saves time rather than typing in on screen. All-in-all, I am satisfied with my purchase.
The Terminator returns in this explosive action-adventure spectacle. Now he's one of the good guys, sent back in time to protect John Connor, the boy destined to lead the freedom fighters of the future. Sarah Connor, John's mother, a quintessential survivor has been institutionalized for her warning of the nuclear holocaust she knows is inevitable. Together, the threesome must find a way to stop the ultimate enemy-the T-1000, the most lethal Terminator ever created.

Many T2 fans seems to think that this is one of the worst 4K releases to date. I am glad that I purchased ($7.99) and now have this 4K physical copy. However, I also hold onto my other Blu-Ray copy for its appreciated value...
Aside from a different color timing and grain reduction/digital smoothing, Cameron did make many, somewhat-obvious changes to the source (like George Lucas did to the original Star Wars). Frankly, that is somewhat regrettable. Changes were straightening the knife stabbing shot at the biker bar/billiards/restaurant near the beginning, erasing the T-1000's "private" parts as he crouched beside his first kill (making him asexual?), keeping the glass from falling off the 18-wheeler's front after the T-1000 drove it off the bridge, and superimposing Arnold's face onto his stuntman's face as the T-800 (Model 101) drives the bike off the ledge (and racing from the exploding 18-wheeler). Were these all necessary? If Cameron refrained from making these changes and stuck to the original completely, then in my opinion, you'd have an awesome 4K (even if stuntmen were recognizable). I really like the picture quality (colors and contrast), and think the sound is amazing (crispness and range levels). But the question of whether or not you buy this release I think solely comes down to how much of a purist you are.

I didn't really see a huge (key word) improvement over the standard high-definition Blu-ray honestly. That Blu-Ray is already exceptional in my opinion. (It has Atmos also.) Purchasing this 4K on sale, however, should be worth it at around or less than $10.
Steven Spielberg's WWII epic has been hailed as a senses-shattering, realistic depiction of war, telling the emotional story of a no-nonsense U.S. Army captain (Tom Hanks), who, after facing the horrors of Omaha Beach on D-Day, receives orders to lead his troops on a search somewhere in Normandy for Private James Ryan, a lost paratrooper whose three brothers had been killed in combat. Also stars Edward Burns, Tom Sizemore, Barry Pepper, Vin Diesel, and Matt Damon as Ryan. 169 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

The other edition that I own of 'Saving Private Ryan' is the 60th Anniversary D-Day Commemorative DVD (2-disc). This catalog release by Paramount is terrific. If you have a 4K home entertainment set up and have seen this movie, you should be pleased with your purchase.

Previously, I owned this on DVD. For the upgrade, I went straight to 4K, bypassing the Blu-Ray. The sound on this release brings down my house! (I don't even have Atmos.)
Tom Cruise is Maverick; ace Navy fighter pilot, member of elite InchTop GunInch school with fellow fliers Iceman (Val Kilmer) and Goose (Anthony Edwards); goes against the rules and riles his boss (Tom Skerritt); falls for teacher Charlie (Kelly McGillis); wants to fly his way; exciting dogfight finale; blazing jets; lots of rock 'n' roll. 109 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks English Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital 5.1, French, Portuguese, Spanish; Subtitles English (SDH), French, Portuguese, Spanish; audio commentary; featurettes. Two-disc set.

First off, my home theater isn't set up for Dolby Vision or Atmos. That said, I still see an improved picture quality from a 2013 Blu-Ray which I already own. (For example, the sequences when the camera is in the cockpit seems more real.) Also, I actually like the warmer color timing from other releases. The 2013 Blu-Ray, however, does have the louder sound projection of the F-14s through my soundbar (Samsung HW-Q60T). (Apparently, the disc was praised in review for that.) Consequently, I still own that copy just in case I "feel the need".
This was the best experience that I have had seeing this film. Color timing changes were great and audio was terrific. Excellent purchase!

Understand color timing concerns of other reviews. (I’m not sure I like 1989 Batman’s 4K disc - also from Warner - more than the older Blu-ray visually.) Though, I welcome the change for this film. (It seems more natural. E.g. cooler correction for overly warm.) The audio for the Blu-ray is 5-channel (but Dolby True HD and not DTS). On my sound system (with soundbar and its encoding), I do notice slight difference between the discs. Then, everyone has their own my setup.
