Though this is a dreary film (in terms of color), the level of detail in 4K is appreciated. (I watched in HDR 10+.) I have other war movies that I like better (Saving Private Ryan), but this one still held my and my father's attention late at night. [Disclaimer: Much of the movie has the illusion that it was shot continuously (i.e. without cut). It is unique in this regard. Some might find it to be slow as a result.]
Jazz drummer Andrew's (Miles Teller) natural talent lands him a place in a prestigious music conservatory, but his intuitive gifts soon receive an unexpectedly brutal workout from his unconventionally intense instructor, Fletcher (Best Supporting Actor Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons). Will the revered teacher's verbal-and physical-assaults make Andrew better... or crush his spirit? Acclaimed drama co-stars Paul Reiser, Melissa Benoist. 107 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

I really like this movie... The acting is intense between student and instructor is INTENSE. Music is great also. I purchased the steelbook in standard HD before deciding to buy again on the 4K disc. Afterwards, I noticed a subtle (but worthwhile) difference visually between the 4K and standard Blu-Ray. (I am not set up for Atmos.)

Picture quality is good. I am a fan of the TV show (on TruTV) who bought this as a gift for a friend (another fan). Personally, I would rate this slightly under value of the TV show. Joker's challenges are implemented inside a detailed storyline. As a result, I found the pacing to be a little choppy. It is still familiarly funny and enjoyable. I think most fans will like it... However, I do not personally own it and recommend renting it first.
John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is an ex-Green Beret haunted by his memories of Vietnam. Harassed and jailed by the locals in a Northwest town, he makes a daring escape and travels to the mountains, where he stages a one-man guerrilla war against the antagonistic sheriff (Brian Dennehy) and his men. But when Rambo's former colonel (Richard Crenna) arrives, can tragedy be averted? With Bill McKinney, Jack Starrett. AKA InchRambo First Blood.Inch 96 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English. The welcomed difference that I noticed in the 4K UHD (as opposed to the standard Blu-Ray) was the color timing or HDR. To me, it looks slightly more realistic. There is appreciated color and clarity enhancement, especially the mountains shot when Rambo is arriving into town. However, there are still instances in the movie when he is on the run or hiding where the picture looks soft. Thankfully, the stuntman on the bike was kept (unlike Arnold S. on the bike in Terminator 2: Judgment Day).

A powerfully sobering story (drama), 'Richard Jewell' reminds me of how current events won't always be portrayed accurately by corporate media or news organizations. I found the pace and tone of RJ to be similar to other Clint Eastwood's films. (He has directed both 'Gran Torino' and 'Sully'.) Personally, I don't have the best A/V set up. The one part where this could make a difference is crucial scene at Centennial Park (or the brief flashback to it). The movie is heavy in dialogue.

Expecting it to be overhyped upon its release, I didn't watch 'Knives Out' in theaters. (Hindsight, I could have.) I do find it somewhat comparable to 'Clue' (another earlier murder mystery with a broad and noteworthy cast for its time). Though, 'Knives Out' also has elements which remind me of a Wes Anderson movie... Confined, inner room picture shots (cinematography), use of chapter titles, color schemes, and main characters quirks, interactions, etc. Standard Blu-Ray was fine for me. (I don't have Dolby Vision.)

This really is a must own 4K UHD-BR for collectors! It is way, way, way, way, way better than the 2007 Blu-Ray. 'The Shining' wasn't one of my favorite films, but it is an excellent to see in 4K. I could re-watch it for the HDR 10+ alone. Sounds awesome also. Warner did a FANTASTIC job with this catalog release!
This set contains all three films from the Wachowski Siblings' The Matrix franchise. In The Matrix, a computer programmer discovers he is the only one able to save mankind from the machines; in The Matrix Reloaded, Neo must protect the Resistance from a rapidly approaching fate; in The Matrix Revolutions, Neo fights to end the war once and for all as the Machines locate the human city of Zion.

My personal opinion is that 'the Matrix' (first) remains the stand alone best and most enjoyable film of the series. Regardless of other critics and reviews, I also think it even looks the best in 4K UHD. CGI utilized in the other two movies ('Reloaded' and 'Revolutions') can appear as a video games to me in some of the action scenes. Still, all transfers are good... I just think this to be reflective of the technology at the time of release (which was pinnacle then). No Dolby Atmos here, and that may concern many. Nevertheless, I am pleased with my purchase and would still prefer/recommend it over standard high-definition.
The spirit of Fairbanks, Power, Williams, and Hamilton lives on in the guise of Antonio Banderas, the thief who dons a cape and mask when recruited by the aging Don Diego de la Vega (Anthony Hopkins) to adopt his alter-ego of Zorro and take on the evil Spanish governor of Alta California in 1841. Smashing swashbuckling scenes highlight this stylish adventure saga co-starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Stuart Wilson. 137 min. Excellent movie! The story, action and humor are very fun! 4K looks and sounds incredible, complimenting the film viewing experience. I didn't regret my purchase.
This was the best experience that I have had seeing this film. Color timing changes were great and audio was terrific. Excellent purchase!

Understand color timing concerns of other reviews. (I’m not sure I like 1989 Batman’s 4K disc - also from Warner - more than the older Blu-ray visually.) Though, I welcome the change for this film. (It seems more natural. E.g. cooler correction for overly warm.) The audio for the Blu-ray is 5-channel (but Dolby True HD and not DTS). On my sound system (with soundbar and its encoding), I do notice slight difference between the discs. Then, everyone has their own my setup.
