This tv is so advanced it is amazing you can get a tv with this good of picture quality number of inputs built in Roku for this price yes you can get a a 55 in ch cheaper however unless you spend more you probably won't match this tv it has robust local dimming excellent black levels HDR dolby vision on board it has a very nice user interface thin bezel. The only slight drawback is it has so many settings it can get confusing and some of the onboard sound processing is not the best however using the tamer non surround settings will give an even clear presentation with some atmosphere as tv's get thinner speakers get compromised. Unbelievable value I would easily buy this again and would buy it in alarger size for room that I would use with a home theater set up were im not relying on the audio from tv. Can you get a better tv yes do you need a better picture prob not.

To 3D or not 3D

I have had to make the decision for sometime whether I should buy a 3d or 4k disc of marvel movies. I have usually leaned to buying 3d since I know supply wise I can pick up the 4k down the road. Not a hard call here the 4k is really well done but DR stange is meant to be seen in 3d now the 3d does not have a a dolby atmos track which has been a screwing by Disney in my opinion. However the 3d does have an excellent 7.1 track that with an upmixer you won't be missing much.

Even if you have disney plus the dynamics of the atmos uhd track will blow disney plus dobby digital plus compressed atmos track out of the water. the video is an upgrade as well though Disney plus video quality is strong.

Unboxed hooked all speakers and components up before turning on power that takes a lot of time disconnecting old one re connecting everything. plugged in new one and nothing just green standby light disconnected everything changed outlets tried powering just unit itself on same thing. So now I have to drive to Best buy an hour each way to return this pos. I have never had an onkyo receiver I loved my Denon but no Atmos. Onkyo not impressed going to exchange it for a new one but if its a POS too I will never buy an Onkyo product again at any price. I have never bought a 650 dollar item dead out of the box. If your brave enough to buy this receiver hook it up immediately don't wait and lose your return window don't buy from some 3rd party with horse crap return policies.
