Could not be happier with the Bunn coffee maker. Worth the money and keeps coffee hotter than the previous version.

HP Pavilion Desktop: Combine high performance and sleek styling with this HP Pavilion computer. An Intel Core i7 processor handles video editing and gaming, while the 8GB of RAM let you load multiple applications for better productivity. This HP Pavilion computer includes a 256GB M.2 SSD for a fast boot-up process and ample storage space, while the included mouse and keyboard enable quick setup.

Are you saying definitively a standard-sized ATX power supply can't be used to have a better video card other than something similar to a Radeon 550? HP's site indicates: "One PCIe x16 socket (for discrete graphic card)." That implies no limitation.

Yes. The limitation is not the PCIe slot, the limitation is the power supply. Not good I know but that is what I have learned. You might be able to use an external video card but you will have to do some hacking to get another video card in. The wiring is not standard.

what is the power of the PSU and will an 8.3 in long GPU fit.

You can't run a video card in this computer. The power supply is only 180 watts and you can't update it because it is proprietary. Intel graphics only.

What gpu does this come with? And could I run double graphics cards?

No you can't even run a single graphics card with this PC. It is only 180 watts and it is proprietary - so you can't change the power supply out either. intel graphics only.

What kind of monitor connection is there on this model? We have an older computer that doesn't have a VGA connection but some other kind of weird one that I've only seen on this particular computer. Would like to use the monitor with this computer...

the PC has HDMI and VGA. If you monitor doesn't have VGA or HDMI it has a digital input called DVI. There are a couple of different DVI ports so google it and see if you have the single or the dual dvi input on your monitor. You can buy an adapter to hook the monitor up to the HDMI port on the computer - just make sure you know which DVI port your monitor has.

Yep you sure can use this computer with your monitor as long as your monitor has a VGA input or an HDMI input. You could buy an adapter but most monitors have VGA or HDMI these days.

just bought this computer, plugged it in, turned on, unable to get any sound. does this computer not have speakers? does it have to connect to external speakers to play sound? thanks.

Yep you are right. There is no speaker in the PC. You will have to plug in speakers to the 3.5mm jack in the back of the PC to get sound.

what is the difference between a 1TBHHD and a 1TBSSD or do they make such a drive

An HHD is a traditional spinning hard drive like you have had in all your computers. The SSD is a solid state hard drive. SSD is much faster and more expensive. You will love the SSD drive but it adds about 100 dollars to the price of the computer.

Can I put a MSI GeForce GTX 1050 video card in here or is the case to small to fit one?

No you cannot put any video card in this computer. There is a slot for one but the power supply cannot support a video card of any sort. Further bad news is that the power supply is proprietary and so you can't simply replace the power supply and add a video card. I had no idea about this until after I bought it and contacted HP. Don't even ask about how horrible the customer service is at HP these days. Sell your stock - they are out of business but don't know it yet. They better be selling the heck out of printers.
