Reaches the whole house

My cable box and router are in a closet on one side of our house. The house is not big but it was enlarged by adding rooms to the existing house, hence the router is behind a brick wall for one half of the house. I could get coverage for part of the house but the far part was on and off. I bought a booster, but it did no good. The Google system now provides excellent wifi anywhere in the house.

My pc has only one USB port so will they both connect to it or do I need 2 USB ports?
Both keyboard and mouse use the same fob - you only need one USB port. However, you can buy a USB hub like the one shown so you can use up to 4 USB devices at one time.
