Is there any way to just shoot 180 degrees with it?
It always shoots 360, but when you select your view you have the ability to show just the portion you want too when you are editing.

Are these CD sleeves protecting discs from enviromental harm and deteriation or just scratches/smudges?
What would you suggest for MRI CD for protective storage but not expensive?

These sleeves offer basic protection from scratches and smudges. I use them when burning a disk to give someone some images, but not for long term storage.
