Having Skyrim in a handheld format has reinvigorated the game for me. I owned it on 360 upon its initial release and then again when the version with all the expansions came out. I loved it, but by the time GTA V came out I was unimpressed with Skyrim's scope and range of activities.
Something about having it on the handheld has brought it new life. Being able to take it anywhere physically has made the game feel broader. It still lacks a lot of activities and verticality present in newer sandboxes but I've come to appreciate it so much more. It also looks fantastic on the small screen.

I upgraded to this from an iPhone 6 which I got after the 7 came out. I tend to not get too lavish with my phone purchases while trying to stay up-to-date.
When I moved to the 6 from an android I didn't have a significantly mind-blowing experience. The streamlined home screen was nice but at the time didn't offer the same customization. That has since changed.
The XR has been brilliant, though. I love the camera. I'm a photographer at my 9-5 and after examining the differences between the XS and XR I came to the conclusion that the two lens setup was far from a necessity. Additionally, the aluminum body doesn't make me feel as if I'd missed out on the heavier body of the S.
The real winner for me is the audio. The dual speaker audio makes watching videos feel immersive even on a phone screen. It's louder and manages bass better than any previous phone I've had.
I recommend this before any of the more expensive iPhone models.

The quality is great. In fact, my previous XBOX One was struggling to put out visuals that matched the capabilities of the TV and it was causing some strange effects. I went ahead and upgraded when the X was on sale during Black Friday and found that fixed the issue and now I can't look at games on 1080 without noticing the difference in quality.
All of the video apps through the smartTV look fantastic, but this is where one of my two gripes comes in. Every two-three viewing cycles (having the TV on/off) I have to "restart" the TV by holding the power button because apps will no longer play video. It's an annoying occurrence. The Hulu app is the worst and I know when the actual free TV streaming service native to the TV doesn't play video that all other apps will be lost causes. Because it's such a troubling issue I have to dock it a full star.
The other issue and one that seems more common is the audio. It isn't bad but in bass heavy moments at high volume, you get some buzzing. I would hope a 4K smartTV from such a popular company would come equipped with a more well-rounded audio output but that's not the case. The nearly 10-year-old Vizio that I put in storage still put out excellent audio. Recommend a soundbar.

I didn't play the former two console releases because I didn't have a console when they were released. Fortunately, this includes the necessary recap videos. The story is still convoluted, which seems to be a common complaint, but it makes up for it in heart and gameplay.
I play this on a One X and seeing the visuals in true 4K is absolutely breathtaking. The Tangled material looked just as good as the film release. Absolutely recommend for long-time fans and newcomers just looking for lighter fare.

Nice to get a little upgrade to visual quality on the HD transfer. The steelbook case and art are excellent. Best Buy has been great about leading the front in Steelbook collector's editions. Wish the release contained more supp materials, but as it stands I can't complain too much. Well worth the $8!
