Dreadfully dull new Superman flick, with the Man of Steel back in action. Thing here is, nothing new. Retread of the same old plot, going over things we have seen before and better before. OK, the effects are quite good, an that's something, but they can't help the belabored plot, and just a feeling of exhaustion, watching the same old stuff. Hollywood needs to grow up and end these constant sequels. Yup, maybe a different tile but that's it. Not recommended, unless you're a Die Hard Superman fan. Even then, this might be tough.

So ok, a group of ladies trying to avenge their husbands death's after an exciting opening sequence. A bit long winded I thought and the plot meanders quite a bit, before it settles down to be an OK action thriller. Viola Davis always strong, but I just didn't get as involved as I had hoped to. It does improve after a weak first hour, to end up, good enough to slightly recommend. But this is the director who made "Shame" and "12 Years A Slave". With this case I would have hoped for more. But for the right audience, might be OK...maybe more as a rental?

3rd in the series..and probably the weakest of them all, although none have been great!! Butler still fine, as this teflon man who seems impervious to damage, this time trying to save the life of the VP, played by Freeman. Lots of violence, action packed, although so much CGI, it gets crazy, you won't take it seriously but you might enjoy it just for the sake of nonsense. Nolte in weird supporting role. Ok, for sure, but nothing great. But if you liked the first 2, this one may appeal to you.
Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of The Godfather Part III, director/screenwriter Francis Ford Coppola brings a definitive new edit and restoration of the final film in his epic Godfather trilogy-Mario Puzo's THE GODFATHER, Coda The Death of Michael Corleone. Michael Corleone (Al Pacino), now in his 60s, seeks to free his family from crime and find a suitable successor to his empire. That successor could be fiery Vincent (Andy Garcia)... but he may also be the spark that turns Michael's hope of business legitimacy into an inferno of mob violence. The film's meticulously restored picture and sound, under the supervision of American Zoetrope and Paramount Pictures, includes a new beginning and ending, as well as changes to scenes, shots, and music cues. The resulting project reflects author Mario Puzo and Coppola's original intentions of The Godfather Part III, and delivers, in the words of Coppola, Incha more appropriate conclusion to The Godfather and The Godfather Part II.Inch

Godfather 3 has always been the weakest of the series. Coppola's new edit of the film reduces it by about 15 minutes or so, changes the opening, and a slight change at the conclusion, although the ending is STILL lousy. I did find myself missing 1-2 things that he edited out. He adds one "gruesome" kill, which is graphic...but I can't really say the film is all that different. A bit shorter, scenes switched, still just a mid range Godfather. Stick with 1-2 only. But if you want to see the changes, and you're a collector, it may be worthwhile to buy.

Totally silly, mindless, but super fun sci-fi action film with Arnie. He can buy memories of lives from the past and future and goes to another planet to relive these. Def for the action fans, it's sometimes funny, full of non-stop but mindless violence, and great set pieces, and some ironic comedy. Arnie is fine, but just remember, he might say to you, especially if you're a lady.."Consider this a divorce"!! Don't divorce from this, if you like action flicks, this is a lot of fun. But don't take it seriously.

Fun, action packed musical with Belushi and Ackroyd. The 4K version looks great, and the movie is a good time at the movies. If you like good music, singing, dancing and a LOT of car wrecks, this will be for you. It holds up well even after 40 years. Truly makes you wonder what kind of a career Belushi might have had, if things hadn't turned out so sad. But the film is a hoot!! Buy it.

Good film, emotional and fun, telling the story of an Iowa farmer, and his field which he builds to bring the memories of legendary baseball players back to life. Costner fine in title role. Burt Lancaster appears late and is quite memorable. Some of the script is a bit pedestrian and silly, but the concluding scenes, add whimsy and emotion and that payoff works. That more of my reason for giving it a recommendation. Baseball fans will love it, but I think it'll have a mass appeal to many.

A lot of fun, nice blu ray. Decent extras. If you saw the film in the theaters at the Midnight shows back in the 70's, you'll realize this feels a bit outdated and you def miss the audience interactions. But if you can remember back to them, you'll smile when those scenes appear. Quirky and fun, this was a box office dud in its original release, but Midnight shows brought it new life. Fun to look back after 45 years. Only disappointment, no changes from the original blu ray released about a decade ago, just new packaging. So I wouldn't do a double dip if you already own this.
Five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, went to Michael Cimino's harrowing indictment of war. The story centers on three Pennsylvania steeltown hunting buddies whose lives are forever changed by their experiences together in squalid POW camps in Vietnam where their captors force them to play rounds of Russian roulette. Robert de Niro, Christopher Walken (who won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar), John Savage, John Cazale, and Meryl Streep star. 183 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English; Subtitles English. Two-disc set.

1978 Oscar winner for Best Picture is a strong study of lives and friendships during the Vietnam War based out of a small Pennsylvania town. Great acting by all, especially DeNIro. Walker won Supporting Actor, although his part is smaller but well played. Quite sad and emotional especially in its climax, this is more a people story than a war story. But in the end, all comes together to make a memorable film.

Nice boxed set, lots of extras. Only original OMEN itself being the best, and the Blu-Ray here looks incredible. Other films lackluster, Omen 3 being really poor. Nice extras on the discs, and the packaging does by Shout Factory is good as well. If you liked the series a lot, you'll be pleased with the set, although with the exception of the 1st film, the other lack and go downhill fast. Still, recommended for fans.
