Beware of Unit Creating Over Voltage Situation

I wanted this unit to deal with brown outs and maintain a supply of clean power to protect expensive electronics. I have multiple units in various rooms protecting home theatre equipment. The selling feature for me was that it could output more power than coming from the wall in a brown out situation. As this particular unit aged it started producing an over voltage situation pumping over 150 volts directly into my 65 inch TV. So it actually created the exact situation it was designed to protect against. It ended up frying my television. I am in contact with Panamax now to determine what happened so that I can prevent a similar occurrence in the future with my other 5400 units.

Firmware auto updates are a disaster

When this AX6000 system works it is top notch. When they release a firmware update you can have a nightmare on your hands quickly doing resets and re-syncing to get back up and running. The system automatically applies (with no ability to turn off) firmware updates and with this last release many have spent hours doing factory resets and re-syncing satellites. Version V4.6.3.16_2.0.51 has dropped connections, inability to connect, speeds dropping to a crawl, and constant satellite reboots out of the blue. Netgear has gone silent and nobody knows when a fix is coming. Some in the forums are saying Netgear has admitted they don't know how to fix the issue. Out of frustration many are jumping ship to other brands. Just be aware.
