Beatrix Potter's mischievous bunny is brought to life in this fun-filled blend of live action and CG animation. When Londoner Thomas McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) inherited his late uncle's home in a sleepy English village, he had no idea he was about to engage in a battle of wills with Peter Rabbit (voiced by James Corden), who has a particular fondness for pillaging the house's vegetable garden. Rose Byrne and Sam Neill co-star; also features the voices of Margot Robbie, Daisy Ridley, Elizabeth Debicki. 95 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English. Two-disc set.

If you enjoy wise cracking CGI rabbits, this is your movie! Seriously though, it's well done and entertaining. Clean enough for the whole family kind of thing. If you're a guy, Rose Byrne is some nice eye candy! Some good voice talent here too.

Another Important Film

I think it's great to have films that expose the hypocrisy and often criminal behavior of our elected government officials. The more eyes that are opened the better for our future. It's also a treat seeing Hanks and Streep together for the first time. And it's Spielberg. What's not to like??

Different enough from the first 2 films to make it a fun viewing. They're out of the hotel and on a cruise ship for monsters. New characters and situations. Good clean fun.

As a fan of the Predator series it's good to see them going back to more of the original formula. Enough action and humor to make it fun. This is strictly a popcorn movie. Arnold would approve.

Solid Spy Thriller

If you're looking for ridiculous stunts, tons of car chases and explosions, and unrealistic situations - this is NOT your movie! More of an old fashioned, intelligent spy thriller that relies on plot and character development rather than CGI action and stunts. Might seem "slow" to people expecting a Bourne or James Bond type of film. This is the opposite of John Wick. :)

CIA agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) and black ops specialist Alejandro Gillick (Benicio Del Toro) plan to further the war between the Mexican drug cartels in the hopes it will stop Islamic terrorists from being brought into the U.S. over the border. They kidnap the daughter (Isabela Moner) of one of the cartel bosses, but when Gillick refuses Graver's order to execute her, the two comrades find themselves on opposite sides of a very deadly conflict. Jeffrey Donovan, Catherine Keener co-star in this thrilling sequel. 122 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English. Two-disc set.

Nice Follow Up

Not sure why I've so so many negative reviews of this online. it's a solid sequel that delves deeper into the two main characters. Character development is not a bad thing! Decent enough plot and plenty of action as this type of movie warrants. There'll probably be a third film.

Intense

Having seen Crazy Heart, Black Mass and Hostiles from the same director I figured it would be intense. Well acted - Christian Bale is always great. Woody Harrelson plays the most vile character you'll ever see. It's a film about down on their luck people who just can't seem to catch a break, so it might be a bit of a downer for many. But it's a well acted film and if you're in the mood for stark realism and flawed characters, check it out.

A Classic

I hadn't seen the original in literally decades and was surprised at how well this classic held up. A very intelligent script for the time and this is the movie that propelled Vincent Price's career in a new direction. Also it launched the slew of "science gone wrong" movies through the 60's - after the atomic bomb test, when everyone thought radiation would cause mutants and giant insects! lol

In the near-future Japanese metropolis of Megasaki, pet dogs have been scapegoated for a flu outbreak, and banished to an island garbage dump. Young orphan Atari (voiced by Koyu Rankin), nephew of the cruel mayor behind the edict, heads to the isle and finds a pack of canine allies in the search for his best friend Spots (Liev Schreiber). Wes Anderson's stop motion-animated charmer also features the voices of Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Scarlett Johansson. 101 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks English DTS HD 5.1 Master Audio, DVS 5.1, Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1, French Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles English (SDH), Spanish, French; featurettes; interviews; photo gallery; more. Great Animated Flick

Being a huge fan of We Anderson (I own all his films) this was a no brainer. Great cast with most of the regular actors he uses. Actually, it's an amazing cast of heavy hitters. There's even a small part with Yoko Ono! If you liked the Fantastic Mr. Fox, you'll probably love this one too.

As you would expect from the stellar cast and director this is a well done story with appropriate character development and realism. The director enlisted actual members of the Native American tribes in the film as consultants for accuracy.
