Great Movie with an Awesome Set

I loved this movie, it is among Tarantino’s best. Is it his best? I would say no, I still hold PulpFiction up there as my standard for his films. But overall the performances and the packaging for this edition were well worth the pick up. Highest recommendations!

Pricey But Cool With a Few Cons

Let’s get it out of the way, the lighting effect is awesome and it works really well in terms of syncing with the content on your TV.
Now I’m terms of price and features, that’s where this lacks. The price is extremely high for what features the box lacks. For one, there is no remote to change between the connections and that can sometimes cause an issue I feel if you accidentally turned on a different console or in my case FireTV on another port.
And perhaps the biggest disappointment is while this does support HDR and 4K passthrough, it does not support Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision or HDR10. More than likely that will come at a later date when they release an upgraded version but at this point when those formats are so prominent in home theater it just feels like a huge oversight on their end. Especially for the price.

This works great. The picture for 4K content is an improvement and it actually runs apps a little faster I have found. I use the stick for AT&T TV and I’ve found the guide loads quicker and scrolling is smoother. Overall a great upgrade from the normal fire TV.

Let’s cut to the facts, if you like Godzilla, I’d you like action, if you like It the 90s show Early Edition and if you find Vera Farmiga strangely attractive like me, you’ll dig this movie.
The steelbook looks dope, sure the human characters don’t offer much but overall who cares? I paid to see Godzilla fight Mothra, Ghidorah and Rodan.
In all seriousness, it’s a fun movie with awesome visuals, I’d recommend it.

I’ll start off by saying this, I probably prefer Get Out a little more than Us, but that is not a slight on this movie. At the time of writing I couldn’t help but think Lupita was an early Oscar candidate (time will only tell as depending on when you read this I could be very right or wrong about this). Just know she is amazing in this movie and the atmosphere, tension and horror just make this such an enjoyable and thought provoking film. Jordan Peele is truly putting everyone on notice that he is here to stay as one of the key voices in modern filmmaking.
