"The Karate Kid" is one of my all-time favorites! I was thrilled when I heard it was getting a 4K upgrade for its 35th Anniversary. If you are a child of the 70s and 80s like I am, you'll be thrilled about this purchase as well!

Just when I think there's no way the filmmakers could outdo themselves from one adventure to the next, they keep surprising me! This latest chapter is no exception. One of the Best Superhero Films of All Time!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is certainly on a roll right now. Each film they produce just seems to hit higher and higher levels of fun, quality, and absolute enjoyment. But Black Panther isn't just a good superhero movie, it's a great movie period. I was so impressed with how the director, Ryan Coogler, took the idea of a superhero origin story and turned it on its head. The performances from the cast were excellent. But most of all, the story that was told is so current in today's political climate. If Black Panther isn't at least nominated in several major categories at next spring's Academy Awards ceremonies, I will be greatly surprised. Five stars and two thumbs way, way up!

The Park is Closed, but the Journey isn't Complete

I've been enjoying the Jurassic Park/World movies in theaters since the first film debuted in 1993. A lot of crazy things have happened during the course of these five films, but the one thing that hasn't is the dinosaurs causing havoc because of the hubris of man. This newest film does something all of the others haven't though---bringing the iconic creatures to the mainland! In addition to the high quality presentation of the film itself, this blu-ray set comes complete with plenty of extras. If you've enjoyed any of the Jurassic films like I have thus far, I'm certain you'll enjoy this one too. 4 stars out of 5.
