Great idea, bad execution.

I really wanted to like these headphones. I'm a huge fan of Google (Pixel phones, Google Home/Assistant, etc) so I went into this purchase with high hopes. Unfortunately I was disappointed by a cumbersome user experience thanks to a poor case design.
Because these headphones are bound by a cable, they're nearly impossible to put into the case. Don't get me wrong, the case itself is nicely made. It's got a soft touch material on the outside that I'm a fan of, and it's not too large. But putting the headphones back into the case is a bad experience. You have to line them up to the magnetic pins, and then wind the cable around the case through a groove. Half the time they don't fit in there exactly right, and half the time the case won't close because the cable is so cumbersom.
Especially for the price, I expected a much easier experience. Thankfully Google listened to this feedback and their second gen Pixel Buds are truly wireless. I'd definitely go with those over this first attempt.
