New version Fire tv 4k Max

I own multiple fire tv sticks throughout my two homes. The new version 4K Max stick replaces my version one fire tv cube. The cube had become problematic and had intermittent lock ups and the new stick has wifi 6E which is more compatible with my google fiber. The stick was about 4 times faster than the cube and was more consistent at streaming fast. Bought on sale at 35$.

I bought this to use as a bedroom set in a spare room. Although the picture is quite good, there are some limitations that make this a careful buy. OLEDS still can suffer from screen burn in , especially if there are chaneel markers ( cnn, fox, msnbc etc) that are on the screen for extended periods of time. Also I find the "magic remote" to be problematic as it goes into mouse mode with any significant movement of the remote control. It is annoying that it can't be disabled. In addition not all modes of video such as dolby vision are available in all lg sets and for the price that is a disappointing spec .

I find the extended return policy useful as the normal 15 day limit is very short. The delivery and other benefits make this a useful purchase and the occsional special benefits ( Sunday ticket price reduction) pays for the cost. If you spend a lot at best buy this is a good purchase.

I bought this to use for my garage pc ( golf sim pc) and to use for a tv there when it's not too hot, The projector for the sim is only 1920x 1080 hd, so this bumps up the resolution for other gaming too. I will likely move my gamers there too now. The picture is adequate for occasional use there, as it is only used in the winter.

Bought this for my sister and B in law after they complaqined about dish costing over $200 a month. They had never reviewed the additional charges Dish adds as the sub ages. Now they have nothing but netflix and tablo with free streamers like pluto and freevee and are very happy . they do not record so that is not an issue in their small three tv home.

Where does this new U7N stand in comparison to the old-ish U8K, I was gonna grab the U8K but doesn't seem to be available through best buy anymore, and the newer U8N is a tad too expensive. Will this U7N be work it over the older U8K?
U8K has better brightness and contrast over the U7N, and will likely outperform it due to the K receiving software and firmware updates that bring it close to the U8N . The U7N
cannot match the U8K in brightness and contrast. the 75" version of both sets might have similar contrast and the U7N has a newer control set for better performance than the 8K or 7K.
