It’s always hard to review these old movies that have been released on Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray. However, the sound has definitely improved and Stanley Kubrick‘s masterful cinematography looks better than ever. The limited edition steel book is a nice touch too

Nice transfer to Blu Ray

I wasn’t expecting much when I purchased this as far as an improvement in audio and video, but I was definitely wrong. There is a surprisingly good video transfer that clears up a lot of the old stuff that I noticed on my DVD version. Overall a great release.

First of all this is an old movie, so it may not be as much of a dramatic upgrade to 4K. However, the sound is definitely nice and there are some improvements throughout. This particular version includes so much in the way of extras that it’s almost too much. All in all, definitely a good buy for somebody who is a fan of this movie, this is the version to get.
