Just want to make sure this will do what I need. If someone is on vacation they can set this up to record over the air shows to watch when they get home. I also don't want to pay a subscription to do this basic thing.

Why is this manufactured where quality control is not important. I have used The Original Selfie Stick only twice, I connects to phone, but does nothing pushing button, which feels broken. Don't buy this!
