Striving to see the difference

I need to clarify that this is a good review. I have enjoyed SONY's 4K UltraHD player. It is simple to set up and operate. The images look pristine and the audio is amazing. My problem is not with the gear, but with 4K itself. I can try to kid myself all I want but, at the end of the day, I can't distinguish the difference between this format and Blu-Ray. I've tried. I bought the special 4K-cable to connect the player. I configured my 4K TV to get the most out of it. The only subtle differences I perceive are with HDR but not in terms of resolution. Maybe is my tired eyes. Here's the recommendation, if you can see the difference, this player is easy and does the job, if you don't...

The best quality for a SciFi classic

From the moment I heard that Christopher Nolan was working on restoring and upgrading the quality on 2001: A Space Odyssey, I wanted to see it. First on the theaters and, obviously, to buy it on 4K. I don't normally invest in 4K because I don't see the difference, but I couldn't take the risk with this classic. This is the best Sci-Fi, so you have to experience it the best way possible. Also, the Steelbook version that Best Buy presented is top notch. Highly recommended.

Yes, I may be nostalgic, but upon viewing Edward Scissorhands in this 25th-anniversary version I can totally say that Tim Burton was AMAZING at the beginning of his career (not that he is not great now). But the simplicity and style with which he recounts this fantastic story seem timeless to me. It was cheap too.

You may criticize Tom Cruise for many of his films, but his Mission Impossible franchise is turning out to be really good. As an example, you could watch Fallout. It is highly entertaining and has a lot of action. It also grows the mythology of the characters and the world. I hope they keep it going. In the meantime enjoy Fallout in the great Steelbook presentation that only Best Buy offers.

What the DCU should be

I know the title of the review is going to be controversial, but I like the way these stories are being treated in animated form and not how we've seen them in the live versions. If you really care about this universe, so far the best way to enjoy it is in animated form. Wonder Woman changed the tide. Here's hoping that Aquaman continues the new trend.

To be honest, Pixar doesn't have a stellar record with its sequels (Toy Story aside). So, I wasn't too thrilled about the prospect of The Incredibles 2. The film is gold, and I liked it so much that I had to buy the special SteelBook edition. Yes, the formula of the story is the same, but the execution is impeccable. Don't believe me? Watch it.

The LEGO video games are all very dear to me. Harry Potter, in particular, holds a place in my heart, because it allows me to relieve my time as a fan of the franchise while I play an incredible game. When I bought this remastered version I shared it with my children, and they immediately took it over and played it all over again. They didn't even wait for me to join. I couldn't recommend it more. I just hope they do the same for LEGO Star Wars.
