I loved the books and was looking forward to this adaption. didn't want to pay for a streaming service and the price for season 1 was lower than most series (ironically AMC had a one day marathon of the season after I purchased the bluray).
Actors really capture their characters, the chemistry is palpable and the cinematography is gorgeous! Broke down and got Shudder for season 2 (which is a bit slower than the first, but stays true to the trilogy - just in different order). Great addition to my witch/vampire/superhero bluray collection!
